What we helped our customer achieve


We satisfied Eversheds and Computacenters needs for on-demand IT capacity at a competitive cost by providing highly adaptable co-location services, while reducing management overheads, maintenance requirements and power consumption. Provided secure, cost-effective on-demand Tier III co-location resources Highly efficient service (Power Usage Effectiveness of 1.4) minimised power consumption, reduced carbon footprint and allowed Computacenter to deliver the costsavings their customer Eversheds expected Security to Government List X and ISO27001 standards met Computacenters customers requirements for highly secure hosting Diverse routing and connection to our Multi-Platform Services network, plus 24/7 support, assured Eversheds of availability and continuity of services for their critical, time-sensitive traffic.

The challenges we had to overcome


Eversheds, a multinational law firm with exacting IT demands, needed to migrate from ageing technology with insufficient capacity, to a new and more capable platform. Due to their heavy reliance on IT, smooth integration to the new platform was essential, and they would need utterly dependable data centres with the flexibility to provide extra capacity on-demand during the transition. Eversheds agreed with their IT provider, Computacenter that the new platform should be co-located at Vodafones power efficient data centres.

How we helped
We provided Eversheds with the highest standard of co-location reliability and flexibility they required for their new data centres. The solution gave them security, economy and on-demand resources. We identified spatial capacity requirements, helped with cabinet and rack designs, and dealt with power and weight restrictions. We also provided on-demand additional capacity to enable the new and legacy platforms to run simultaneously, allowing the migration to take place without disruption to services. Our onsite team helped prepare the implementation plans and liaised with Computacenters project manager to ensure they met Eversheds timescales. Vodafone continues to provide on-going support.
