Release Notes for Version 3.1.1

This document provides the release notes for ActivVisionTools 3.1.1, as released in October 2006. ActivVisionTools
3.1.1 is primarily a maintenance release that fixes all known bugs in ActivVisionTools 3.1.

ActivVisionTools in general

Bug Fixes:
A corrupt DSC name was used on some systems when running applications from within Visual Studio
2005 if the hosting process was enabled. This has been fixed.
The method AVTView.ReadFromDSC did not work correctly when used outside of Visual Basic 6.0. This
has been fixed.

Manual:
The C# examples measure_results and blob_results have been added to demonstrate feature result
access also under C#.

ActivView

Bug Fixes:
When using the DirectShow interface, it was not possible to specify values for port and camera type
differing from those occuring in the respective value lists. This has been fixed.
The "auto" state of some image acquisition parameters was not initialized correctly on application

New Frame Grabber Interfaces:


ActivVisionTools now also includes an interface to Basler eXcite smart cameras.
ActivVisionTools now also includes an interface to Daheng USB 2.0 cameras.
ActivVisionTools now also includes an interface to dPict Imaging Aexeon and Nexeon boards.
ActivVisionTools now also includes an interface to Lumenera USB 2.0 cameras.
ActivVisionTools now also includes an interface to MATRIX Vision mvBlueFOX USB 2.0 cameras.

Modified Frame Grabber Interfaces:


The following frame grabber interfaces have been revised. Please refer to the corresponding
documentation for more information, especially whether a new revision of the corresponding device
driver is required. 1394IIDC, BCAM1394, BitFlow, DirectFile, DirectShow, Leutron, mEnable3, MeteorII,
MiLLite, MultiCam, SonyXCI, TWAIN, and uEye.

ActivVisionTools NLS

Bug Fixes:
Simplified Chinese was installed on all Chinese systems, even though Traditional should have been
installed for Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao. Furthermore, the Chinese NLS files did not reside plain on
the CD. This bug has been fixed

ActivViewer

Bug Fixes:
The ActivViewer layout was incorrect on XP systems using the standard Windows XP theme, causing
the status bar to appear clipped by a few pixels. This has been fixed.
