Definition: Principles: A principle is a law or rule that has to be, or usually is to be followed, or can be desirably followed, or is an inevitable consequence of something. Management: Management in all business areas and organizational activities are the acts of getting people together to accomplish desired goals and objectives efficiently and effectively. Management comprises planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing, and controlling an organization (a group of one or more people or entities) or effort for the purpose of accomplishing a goal. Resourcing encompasses the deployment and manipulation of human resources, financial resources, technological resources, and natural resources.

Objectives: 1 2 This subject gives an overview of the theory and practice of management The course will cover the evolution of management, its history, and the development of important concepts. It will cover the basic functions of management: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling The objective of this course is to expose the theories of management, organizational theory, and the practice of management in organizations
