This includes advice and initial specification through to supply, pump installation and commissioning and a service plan to suit your budget and operational requirements. Whilst the Conder range of package pump stations offers a series of standard tank sizes, each application requires a unique specification for both pump and chamber. In order to provide the best and most economical solution we need to make an assessment based on a set of standard criteria. For each application, we require a completed pump station enquiry form. CONDER TANKS 24HR STORAGE TO MEET BUILDING REGULATIONS Current government legislation states that all new installations should be sized to allow for 24hr storage in the event of pump or power failure. Specifically note the following extract from building regulations Document H1. BUILDING REGULATIONS DOCUMENT H1 FOUL DRAINAGE, PAGE 16. (PUMPING INSTALLATIONS) SECTION 2.39. THIS STATES: Where foul drainage from a building is to be pumped, the effluent receiving chamber should be sized to contain 24 hour inflow to allow for disruption in service. The minimum daily discharge of foul drainage should be taken as 150 litres per head per day for domestic use. For other types of building, the capacity of the receiving chamber should be based on the calculated daily demand of the water intake for the building. Where only a proportion of the foul sewage is to be pumped, then the capacity should be based pro-rata. In all pumped systems the controls should be so arranged to optimise pump operation. The required 150 litres per head per day volume should reflect the storage volume in the station pump or station and overflow tanks.

the heart of the pump station

Quality and reliability are at the heart of any pumping system and equipment failure could lead to pollution of the water environment, prosecution and costly fines. Conder is therefore delighted to offer the Grundfos range of submersible and dry-mounted sewage and drainage pumps. The Grundfos SEV, SEG and SE1 ranges are technologically advanced pumps designed for handling wastewater, process water and unscreened raw sewage in heavy duty municipal, utility, residential and industrial applications. These heavy-duty pumps are built for years of trouble free and economical operation in the most demanding of applications. The pumps may be installed submerged or dry without motor cooling. The efficient single-channel or SuperVortex impellers provide free passage of solids up to 100mm. This greatly reduces the risk of clogging and ensures maximum up-time and reduced operating costs. The single channel impeller (SE1) for the transfer of sewage unscreened or treated. Vortex impeller (SEV) for applications that involve the transfer of sewage or stormwater where there is the possibility of abrasive substances such as stones, grit or sand. The Grundfos grinder pumps (SEG) are specifically designed for pumping untreated sewage in small communities or sparsely populated areas and used in applications that require a pressure main or long discharge main of small diameter pipe. The new and efficient grinder system with easily replaceable parts reduces downtime and allows quick and easy maintenance. All SE pumps boast a host of features designed to facilitate quick and easy servicing, such as the simple cable connection to the motor via a plug and the unique stainless steel clamp system for assembling pump and motor unit. All of these types of pumps can be found in our range of custom and bespoke package pump stations.
