Introduction: Detailed description James Discovery: Mike - Table Table showing biotic components observed and thier numbers

Mike/Colton - Graph showing the trophic level of these biotic components in their correct place. Discussion: Dakota/everyone else - how you believe the biotic and abiotic components relate to each other to produce the ecosystem you investigated.

The biome we studied was marsh/forest biome. It was full of diverse life and different geological structures. Among the abiotic components, there were plenty of large to medium size rocks. The largest ones were as tall our waists. There was also a small stream that lead into a marsh. The small stream consisted of small pebbles, mud, muck and and about ankle deep water. The biotic components were also as diverse as their was plenty of bugs and insects on and around the water. There was some frogs in the area in the stream. There was also evidence of birds in the tall trees that surrounded the entire area. There was evidence also of animals such as squirrels but none were actually observed.

Discussion We believe the biotic and abiotic components relate to each other in their ecosystem by helping each other out. Abiotic factors help out biotic things by providing them shelter such as caves or rocks to hide under; soil also for shelter like rabbit holes. Also water for a source of energy and so biotic factors can survive. The biotic factors help out abiotic factors by, for example when they die their remains are used for fertilizer in the soil so new things can grow. Biotic organisms get more benefits than abiotic factors but without abiotic factors, biotic factors would not be able to survive because plants couldnt get nutrients from the soil, without water biotic factors would not be able to hydrate ourselves and the biotic factors would also die. Even though abiotic factors dont get helped that much they still let biotic factors thrive for life on earth.
