Rubber Molds Fundamentals

(1-Day program)
This 1-day program covers a broad range of topics that are fundamental to the design of rubber molds. Each topic covered includes some basic well known aspects of rubber mold design and also touches on some lesser known rubber mold design techniques and concepts. The novice rubber mold designer will be overwhelmed with useful design information and the seasoned practitioner will find plenty of valuable bits of information well worth the day.

Design of Rubber Molds

(2-Day Program)
This 2-day program covers many detailed topics related to the design of rubber molds. The topics covered address some very specific rubber mold design applications and techniques that are not widely practiced in the industry, and when these techniques and concepts are applied in the industry, they are often miss-applied. A novice mold designer may find many of the topics discussed to be very new, while the seasoned practitioners will be challenged with ways to apply the concepts of each subject.

Book Rubber Molding - Principles (Author: Dr. Van Walworth)

This book presents the reader with a fundamental overview of the basics of rubber molding techniques and methods. The main molding methods of injection, transfer, and compression, are discussed in detail along with many of the offshoots and variations of these molding methods. While this book is not exhaustive or comprehensive, it is an easy read covering many of the complex subjects related with rubber molds and the processing of those molds. The book is filled with many creative techniques and methods associated with the design of rubber molds and with the manufacturing processes used to mold most typical rubber products. Troubleshooting molding processes is discussed from a rootcause analysis approach. Molding techniques, to establish and optimize a set of process parameters, is discussed from a practical manufacturing vantage point. Compounding is not discussed in this book, however, the flow behavior and fill characteristics of rubber compounds is explored and considered. The author draws upon his personal experiences and observations from the rubber industry spanning a career of over thirty years, and combines it with cutting-edge research efforts and experimentation with rubber molds and rubber compound behavior. In addition to the fundamentals of rubber molding and rubber mold designs, this book includes many tricks of the trade that have been compiled over the years by the author that provide some lesser-known techniques employed in the rubber industry to either make the most of a mold design, or optimize a molding process, or advance trouble-shooting techniques. This book will be given to the participants, who register for both programs.
Kindly note that book will be sent to participants during October November this year.
