DESCRIPTION
Cola®Trope 1A2 is a light amber, water soluble, surface active agent that contains no
halogenated solvents. Cola®Trope 1A2 is an aqueous surfactant solution that is
compatible with a broad range of high electrolyte solutions such as brine, bleach, caustic
and inorganic acids. The branched side chain of Cola®Trope 1A2 offers improved
emulsification and solubility in organic solvents.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Dye Bath Leveling
Cola®Trope 1A2 provides effective dispersion of organic and inorganic pigments in dye
bath applications while maintaining the highest possible level of wetting of the substrate.
Cola®Trope 1A2 functions well in baths which require either high levels of acidity or
alkalinity in conjunction with high levels of inorganic salt.

Heavy Duty Cleaners

Cola®Trope 1A2 is uniquely effective as a solubilizer and surfactant when used in acid
and alkaline cleaner formulations where conventional detergents lack sufficient solubility
in the formula for necessary performance.

Latex Emulsification
The high surface activity and the high electrolyte tolerance of Cola®Trope 1A2 make it
the surfactant of choice for the manufacture of latex emulsions for adhesives and foam
rubber. These properties allow the user to operate the emulsification process under
conditions that would not be usable with conventional surface active agents, permitting
greater control over latex molecular weight and particle size.

Agricultural Chemicals
High emulsification and excellent water solubility of Cola®Trope 1A2 can aid the
formulator of agricultural emulsions by providing a broader blend of anionic to nonionic in
hard to emulsify pesticides and herbicides.
