Fighting big hunger with good choices

This should not come as a surprise to most of you, but one of the reasons I used to weigh over 460 lbs is because I like to eat. I will pause for a minute and allow you to soak that in. Got it? Good, lets move on. When I started my lifetime journey to lose over 200 lbs and keep it off one of my main hurdles to overcome was hunger. So what do you do when youre so hungry that youre ready to stage a Dog Day Afternoon style takeover at a local Pizza joint? Well, you eat something healthy, fill yourself up, and save loss to innocent life and public property damage. May I introduce to many of you my two secret weapons in the battle to stay full AND healthy..... ....FRUITS and VEGETABLES!!! Despite whatever wacky, restrictive, eat only bacon and drink 3 shakes a day fad diet you may be following I have some very helpful new for you: Fresh Fruits and Vegetables are your friend. Especially if you have a big appetite like me and like to eat your meals from a huge bowl like Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies. Here are a few ways I like to use fruits and veggies to pump up the volume of my meals.

If you are starving cause you are on a diet and the 4 ounces of chicken you just ate didnt fill you up (Shocker), next time try adding that yardbird to a HUGE salad filled with all your favorite fresh greens, tomato, and onions,etc. Hell, toss in some grapes, orange slices, or berries nobody is looking. You will enjoy a much larger filling meal and not have to eat something crappy and hate yourself. Tuna, lean steak, turkey sausage, any kind of protein is great in a nice big salad.

Make some fresh veggie filled salsa and #3 Eggs-cuse me, can you fix use it or vinegar instead of fatty salad my boring omelette?: dressings. You can even make salsa out of If you are eating boring old eggs, or seeking fruit. Or veggies and fruit, or spicy fruit, or your flavor burst from greasy fatty meats fruit and spicy veggies, wow I just blew my like bacon or tons of cheese please let me own mind! If you like one-at-a-time snacks like chips theres sliced up cucumber, cherries, grapes, whatever you want. If you think you dont like fruits and veggies, keep looking.
