Lets look at the section titled Getting Ready for problem 3.3 In this section, they ask you to estimate the product of these numbers to the nearest whole number. Let me show you how I think through these problems: Think Aloud for the first one, then think aloud to find the actual product of times 2 9/10. Guided Practice for the second one. Make sure to show step by step how the squares and models are being divided. Lets look at the directions for Problem 3.3: For each question, you need to Estimate the Answer, Create a Model or diagram, and write a number sentence. When I say go, you will work on problems B-D with an elbow partner at voice levels 1 and 2. Do this on page ___ of your notebook. Can someone repeat the directions? Go. Model Problems B and C on the board with 10 minutes left (If a student did it right, then pull the students work) Closing/Preview for Next Lesson/Homework: What did you do today to make sure you met our objective?
