DIRECTOR, EMPLOYEE RELATIONS -- August 2012-April 2013 MANAGER HR, FIELD OPERATIONS & EMPLOYEE RELATIONS -- January 2005-August 2012 Began as HR Manager with Mail Terminal Services, a start-up company with an employee base of 1000 full time and 450 part time employees nationwide; 16 national centers in the bulk mail processing industry. Company sold in 2009 to DHL Global Mail Inc. Promoted to Employee Relations Director in August 2012.

Accomplishments:

Combined 3 sets of company handbooks into one employee handbook that was successfully used
by managers and employees on a regular basis.

Identified a new background check and drug screen vendor that saved the company $65K annually. Developed recruiting programs with focus on operations manager/supervisor and hourly positions.
Decreased position fill period by 50%. Source for handling employee disciplinary issues with field operations. Eliminated EEO charges/litigation rate by 40% (2011 vs 2012). Major focus on employee relations/union avoidance that included manager/supervisor training and working with managers regarding annual employee survey results. These activities improved employee morale and decreased concern that the company was a prime target for union organizing.

REGIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER Employee base of 450; 10 centers in Florida & Texas territories; 4 production facilities; sales and service of water softener systems, central purification systems and bottled water delivery. Company sold to investors in late 2004.

Accomplishments:

Developed a human resources presence at the dealership/branch level. This resulted in improved,
faster HR service to managers, supervisors and employees.

Region Operations Director and I led a successful union campaign in the Orlando, FL dealership.
Decreased the fill time of open management-level positions by 35%. This was accomplished by expanding recruiting efforts (to include community sources, open houses and job fairs).

Accomplishments:

Decreased recruiting fill rate for open positions by 35%. This was accomplished by working with ad
agency to change marketing materials, new internet and print employment ads and attending area recruiting and community events Conducted exit interviews. This decreased the turnover rate by 25%. Prepared various reports for senior management; acted on my recommendations resulting from exit interviews (including commissions, new bonus program). Developed employee relations programs to include administration of employee-management committees to address issues; conducted union avoidance training; conducted contract negotiations and grievance review meetings; successfully won all EEOC charges. These programs also improved the frequency of new EEOC charges by 30%. Developed successful safety & risk programs that resulted in a 50% decrease in costs associated with workers compensation, fleet accidents, product liability claims. Facilitated DDI manager/supervisor workshops -- Targeted Selection, Change Management, Coaching, Communicating and Listening, Working as a Team; conducted BNAs Fair Employment Practices. Improved skills of managers/supervisors (noted by senior management) with a significant decrease in employee complaints.
