Target India Corporation Ltd - Bangalore, Karnataka - January 2012 to Present Distribution & Transport Business Intelligence Target Corporation - Minneapolis, MN & Bangalore, India This project deals with the development of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) for Distribution & Transportation capability of Target Corporation. This project provides accurate information of various operations of a Distribution Center (DC) like, Inbound, Outbound, Capacity, On Hand Quantity of items to meet store demand, and other business critical processes performed in distribution centers. It integrates well with Target enterprise data warehouse, and provides Target, end to end status of their inventory and distribution operations. Reporting Layer is provided to generate ad-hoc reports by business users. Analytical reports on capacity utilization and operational performance are provided through Microstrategy Reports via this project. This application helps Target to take better decisions on their merchandise distribution function. This application also helps to optimize the utilization of distribution centers and transport capability in Target. Target India Corporation Ltd - Minneapolis, MN - December 2010 to January 2012 Target Corporation-Minneapolis, MN & Bangalore, India Platform Architecture Reorganization and Support Duration (PARS). The PARS Program introduces new data warehouse technology and functionality to enable enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics for Target. It replaced IBM database UDB/DB2 9.0 used by Target with Teradata 13.10 database, as enterprise data warehouse to serve all data functions for business. PARS also upgraded Target ETL tool from DataStage version 7.5 to DataStage version 8.5, ensuring faster data load and better data quality. This project simplified data and application architecture and significantly improved the stability of enterprise data warehouse. Reports were developed on Microstrategy tools and PARS integrated 14 applications in semantic layer, and catered business requirement to see end to end real time reporting. It included building the enterprise Shared Dimensions like Calendar, Location, Item needed for Enterprise Warehouse. This application provides capability to Clients to set up Items at Enterprise level, and decides various attributes of item. This is a very critical application for business and Enterprise Data Warehouse. This project delivered a common, integrated, accurate and timely interface for all information relevant to merchandising team. It provided data, metrics and reporting capability to business to support item management system in target and take business effective decisions. This project allowed Target to create more guest focused solutions and has led to higher guest loyalty at Target. This application provides real time understanding of usage of credit card/gift cards issued by Target. It helps in identifying trends to offer promotions, discounts to card users. It also helps in controlling frauds, using Target's cards. This application is used by Target to analyze accounts, roll rates and internal use within collections. Satyam Computers Services Ltd - Bangalore, Karnataka - January 2007 to March 2008 Telstra Transformation Project -Bangalore, India This project involved building Enterprise Data Warehouse for Telstra - an Australian Telecom Major. This warehouse had Telstra's guest details, usage analysis, promotion offers, billing cycle information and other information. This warehouse facilitates Telstra to closely monitor its sales and analyze trend to retain customers. Reports were generated on weekly sales and competitive planning was done using the trends. Cognos reports generated on enterprise data warehouse gave end to end timely status to Telstra business. I worked on a module called 'TRICS' (Telstra Retention Information Customer Support) . This module automated the process of sending promotional texts and emails to customers; leading to higher customer acquisitions and retention. I was promoted to module lead role and was leading a team of 11 associates in the project.
