Executive Summary
Description of the client organisation and its activity (300 words), There are more than the common known Islamic festivals. I will aim to educate those who want to gain more knowledge about Islamic festivals and why we celebrate them. I will be uploading Images, Interviews and information of each celebrated event. And in order to get a wider understanding of what other think I will also be interviewing a few people that are not Muslim and ask what they know about Islam and what they fink each festival represents. I will release information and stories that many individuals in this country may not know such as the story of our prophet and the times when the Holy Quran was made. My clients for this project will be those individuals who wish to know a little more about Islam and our heritage. I will use Wix to create an online achieve as it is a very easy to use and user friendly tool in creating a website. It also has the ability to upload audio, video and create exhibits. Brief synopsis (300 words) of the project undertaken. What is Eid? What is Ramadan? Whilst growing up I have been asked countless times why do you starve yourself for a month of Ramadan. I was born and bred in England and have only been to my home country Bangladesh 4 times where I have had an essence of brotherhood in Islam. Being brought up in England is much different, Eid is not seen as a public holiday but in a Muslim country EID is a day of Joy a day off to spend with ones family. Also Ramadan is a month of peace and sincerity which many dont know and also during that specific month all rewards gained from good deeds are doubled as the doors of hell are said to be closed. It is said that whatever sin that are committed during the month is not the work of the devil but of ones own. Being brought up in England I have got to know the Christian celebrations more that my own, being taught only the basics of Islam during my years at secondary school does not cover much. There are many other Islamic celebrations that we Muslims celebrate and take part of; but these celebrations may not be known by all. My aim is to educate people about Islam and all the celebrations that we participate in and the reason for doing so. The reason I have chosen this project is that I am a Muslim and have been private Tuition in learning to read Arabic and gain knowledge of my own heritage. I believe its now time to share this information for those who wish to know more about Islamic festivals and the reason to why we celebrate each one mainly focusing on the main events such as Eid and Ramadan. Identification of, and brief statement on, the theoretical or intellectual issues addressed in the project (300 words) I will need to ensure that the material that I intend to use is not copyrighted. I will need to ensure that I gain permission from those that own certain material before using it on my own website. Most of the resources will be from my personal teaching in which I have learnt from my private Mesab (Tutor). I will be adding fairly huge files and images in which may cause a slight issue with streaming it as buffer time may be slow. Another aspect that I take into consideration is that there are over 78 types of Muslims currently in the world and our beliefs may be of Allah but there are slight differences on how we do things. I will be added celebration on behalf of knowledge gained from a Sunni Muslim.

Analysis
A detailed description and analysis of the problem, challenge, or opportunity addressed in the project (500 words) (10%)

Problem It has come to my attention that many people do not know much about Islam. They are unclear of the celebrations in Islam and only have minimal knowledge that they had gained from secondary school. As we live in the UK being home to a multi-cultural society, it will be very helpful to know of certain events within every religion. For example Eid comes twice a year one being Eid-al-adha and the other Eid-al-fitre but many people do not know the difference between them. Aim: My aim in this project is to educate those who wish to learn more about Islamic festivals and how they are celebrated with to why they are celebrated. Objective: I will create an interactive online website that users are able to view information on each event within Islam and also listen to audio clips selected few participants discussing their knowledge and understanding of Islam. There will also be an online achieve where users are able to view my personal images conducting these celebrations.

In this project I hope to spread Islam and hopefully clear any assumptions and misunderstanding of what each festival is truly about. The website that I will produce in order to achieve this will be available for all those who wish to view it (http://fokhrul12589.wix.com/islamic-festivals). Problems faced/ Challenges During the course of the project I had come across many boundaries that were difficult to overcome. One of the problems that I had faced was that it was quite difficult in locating certain individuals in order to conduct an audio interview. I had specifically wanted a wide range of contestants all of different characteristics. I was looking for a Muslim, Non-Muslim and an atheist. As the owner of this project I will have the responsibility that all the content that is used within the website is not protected under the copyright law. If however the content is copyrighted, and is of relevant information; I will need to ensure that I reference it clearly with the content. Opportunities Whilst gathering information on each festival within Islam I was able to also educate myself in more depth of each event. I have gained more knowledge and understanding of my religion and am now able to comfortably answer reasons of most Islamic celebrations in depth. Having produced such a project I am able to reach out to my users and hopefully help them to understand the reason behind each festival.

Theoretical/ Intellectual Issues

A detailed exposition and discussion of the theoretical or intellectual issues addressed in the project (1000 words) (15%) Most of the content on this website will be of my own, along with images of the internet. I will clearly reference any images used from the internet in the referencing section of this report. I will be taking on the responsibility in fully protecting any information uploaded to my website. I will also make the authors aware of possibilities of their material being either stolen or misused. In order to prevent this from happen I will not allow a download feature that will allow any users of the site be able to download the audio interviews and images. I will also use low resolution images as a way to stop any images from being stolen. Protecting Work The copyrightservice.com identifies ways in which a user can protect their works. Ultimately it is up to the user whether or not they decide to have their content displayed on the internet. Keep or register supporting evidence Supporting evidence falls into two categories: Evolution of ideas This is evidence of the progression of the work. Early drafts, synopsis, rough recordings, sketches, etc. are all evidence that the work progressed over time, rather than being copied from elsewhere. Although it is possible to fake such evidence, it is often time consuming to do so, so it can be fairly good evidence to demonstrate that you created the work from scratch over a period of time. Footprints or watermarking This is normally evidence inserted into finished documents that will identify the author in some way, such as deliberate mistakes, or hidden data that can be read using special applications.1 The information above states that an author will not need to have a copyright registered for their work. If they can prove that the work is theirs by presenting evidence in which in course with time they had come to the final image/material. Whereas if copyright was registered on the image it just makes it easier to prove and prosecuting stage much easier. Fair usage -Is reproducing copyrighted ideas or findings without the need to request permission to do so by the owner of the copyright.2 copyrightservice.co.uk also mentions that: Under fair use rules, it may be possible to use quotations or excerpts, where the work has been made available to the public, (i.e. published). Provided that: The use is deemed acceptable under the terms of fair dealing. That the quoted material is justified, and no more than is necessary is included. That the source of the quoted material is mentioned, along with the name of the author.3 Looking at this information; it clearly suggests that all material used must be referenced for its author. I will need to ensure that all material that I have used that is not mine will need to be referenced on this website.

Project Review
Project review, with recommendations for the further development and long term sustainability of the project (500 words) (10%) This project was taken in order to educate others who wish to know more about Islamic festivals and celebrations. The website is constructed for information purposes only. I have discovered much new information in regards to some Islamic festivals that I had never known before. Whilst trying to educate others of my religion I had learnt new things myself. This project had allowed me to identify peers that I had known for many years in more depth. Interviewing them had raised many past experiences and decisions that changed the course of their lives which I had never known. I was open to different discussions on their view of Islam; many issues where raised. I had built the website using Wix; an online website wizard that allows you to create webpages with instant drag and drop functions. This had allowed me to create a website with less hassle and comfort. A problem that I had faced was that when inserting information into the webpage, I had to ensure that the information was not copyrighted. I also used a template consent form4 courtesy on Newcastle University in order to get a written confirmation from all interviewees the permission to be able to use the interviews conducted listed on my website due to data protection laws. I believe that this project could be improved much more. If I was to add anything I would: -Have more interviews (different religion and race) -Add more images to the archive -Ability to create user accounts -Users are able to upload their own images/ videos -Have a blog for discussions -More content and detail of each festival -Broaden information and add information on the religion as a whole and not a certain section. Implementing the above suggested improvements would in my opinion make the website unique and based in Islam as a whole. Having more interviews would allow users to listen to views of a wider range of users; this will help identify ones perspective and see differences in answers. So far I have interviewed a Christian, Convert from Islam to Christian and a born Muslim. I could interview other individuals of different religions such as Hindu, Buddhist and Atheist to see how much they know about Islam and views they have regarding it. In the long-term sustainability aspect of this project I plan to keep the website up-to-date, add new features such as online blog. I will also need to consider that the project is a non-profitable, so having a donations link attached to the website will be helpful in covering the running cost such as hosting.
