FIRST FRUITS
WITHOUT THE

SIGN OF YONAH?
It is a fact that Yahusha was in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights, as Yonah was in the belly of the great fish. We know with certainty He was in the tomb on Abib 15, 16, and 17. The traditional interpretation among "orthodox rabbis" is the understanding that "First-fruits", the wave-sheaf offering, is observed on Abib 16, the "morrow after the Sabbath". They are not thinking of the weekly Sabbath here, but rather the annual day of rest on the first day of Matsah, the 15th day of the first moon. If this is correct, and Yahusha did not present Himself as the wave-offering on Abib 16, then that would mean His resurrection is in no way any reflection of the First-fruits wave offering. First-fruits would then have no connection to "resurrection". Thesign of Yonah illuminates the connection between Passover and First-fruits. These two things were foreshadowed in the redemptive feasts, and infused with the sign of Yonah, we have a three cord rope which affirms them as evidence of His office of Mashiach. To observe Abib 16 consistently as the morrow after the Sabbath will cause us to believe Shabuoth is not actual weeks, but rather random groups of 7-days that add-up to 49. The morrow after the 7th Sabbath makes Shabuoth the 50th day, but the JPS Version* translates it as the morrow after the 7th week. The error is in the word underlying week - the word is Sabbath, not week. The Wave-Sheaf (omer) is "First-Fruits", and is a shadow of Yahusha's resurrection. The barley sheaf represents Yahushas resurrected body. After it was cut down, His body began to move again (wave). Yahusha is the wave-offering, and ascended into

the Throne room of the Ancient of Days to present Himself as First-fruits. The day of His resurrection, He would not allow Miryam to touch Him because He had not yet ascended to present Himself; and this happened well beyond Abib 16 that particular week. When Yahusha was placed into the tomb, the 15th of the moon fell on what is today called a Wodens -day just before sunset, and Thors day of that week was the annual High Sabbath. THE SIGN OF YONAH: 3 DAYS & 3 NIGHTS The sign of Yonah becomes a prominent feature between Passover and First-fruits. The Pharisees who dont believe in Yahusha dont have this sign of Yonah, so they err in reckoning the starting point. After 3 nights and 3 days, at the close of the weekly Sabbath, He rose from the dead. The morrow (1st day of the week) after the Sabbath He presented Himself before Yahuah as the Wave-Sheaf (First-Fruits) offering, fulfilled by His resurrection because His body was the fulfillment represented by the Wave Sheaf. If FirstFruits is not determined by counting from the weekly Sabbath, and First-Fruits is always observed on Abib 16, then Yahusha missed it and did not present Himself as the First-born (First-Fruits) from the dead at the correct time, and the sign of Yonah (3 days and 3 nights) failed as the sign He offered that He is the Mashiach. Yahusha was in the tomb on Abib 16 during Matsah, and did not wave Himself until 3 nights and 3 days after His death and burial. The reason the Orthodox err in their setting the observance of First-Fruits is that they dont have a clue that it is a shadow-picture of Yahushas resurrection. Christians have no observance reflecting the Wave-Sheaf offering, since Constantine declared let us have nothing in common with the hostile rabble of the Yahudim. Sadly, many Natsarim teachers are misinformed about this also, and they are following the pattern of those who do not believe Yahusha is the Mashiach of Yisrael.

Shadows of things to come

FIRST FRUITS - SHADOW OF THE RESURRECTION Sunset APR 19 through sunset Apr 20 The Wave-sheaf (omer, bundle) offering is traditionally thought of as being Abib 16, however Yahusha is the omer, and ascended to perform this on the morrow after the weekly Sabbath. The count to Shabuoth (7 x 7 complete weeks) is determined by getting this correct. This offering, called the first-fruits, was fulfilled by Yahusha when He resurrected. During the festival of Matsah (Unleavened Bread), the High Priest would wave the first-fruits of the barley harvest on the morrow after the Sabbath. Yahusha became the wave-sheaf offering because the resurrection was the object, and the wave sheaf was the shadow. 7th day of Matsah: 21st day of 1st moon Sunset APR 20 through sunset Apr 21

WE DISTRIBUTE ORTHODOX HEBREW CALENDARS
Hebrew calendars from Torah Institute contain the true 7-day weeks, and are produced by Orthodox rabbis. These calendars will use certain inappropriate words such as the name of the month Tammuz. Also, because they dont recognize the sign of Yonah, they consistently calculate the count to Shabuoth from Abib 16, rather than the Sabbath of the week during Matsah. The last page will explain this.
