Carbonized aluminum is used to manufacture CA. CA is used to produce hydrogen.

This photo shows hydrogen bubbling up at a rate of approximately 12 LPM. Water temp = 94F. 25 pounds of CA in 42 gallons of water. If operated at 180F, the hydrogen production rate = approximately 192 LPM. See more detail onlilne at www.PhillipsCompany.4T.com/H2C.mov MCA.pdf Page 3

Granule size is important

We used 30 micron aluminum powder in our earlier development work to produce hydrogen, but 0.2 mm aluminum will perform better in most applications requiring higher production rates of hydrogen for use as a fuel supplement. The amount of aluminum surface area is important, and engineering calculations describing this are available online at www.PhillipsCompany.4T.com/APA.pdf

Availability of Catalyzed Aluminum

Phillips Company can supply your needs up to an amount of 10 metric tons per quarter. Aluminum fuel with normal carbon will NOT work well, so Catalyzed Aluminum must be used to get best results (high production rate of hydrogen).

Cost of Aluminum metal

The cost of aluminum metal in constant dollars has remained almost unchanged for 40 years. A slight decrease in cost over time is evident from the data below. Aluminum metal price per pound $8 $6 $4 $0
1928 1933 1938 1943 1948 1953 1958 1963 1968 1973 1978 1983 1988 1993 1998 2003 2008 2013

Trend forecast indicates the future price of aluminum will probably remain constant or slightly decline.

Catalyzed Aluminum = $300 Safety surcharge = $72 Total = $372

Safety surcharge: This is a special heat/humidigy treatment applied to each shipment to ensure the shipment of the product in a maximum-safety condition.

CA is now available in larger quantity for commercialization of systems that will use hydrogen for fuel supplements and hydrogen for the primary fuel and energy source for large-scale systems.

An online search produces MANY results for Catalyzed Aluminum

Phillips Company

These sources of catalyzed aluminum probably will NOT work when using it to produce hydrogen. The CA from Phillips Company uses a special activation process. For more information, please see the online document...

Hydrogen is a fuel. Hydrogen is a flamable gas.

Hydrogen is no more or less dangerous than other flammable fuels, including gasoline and natural gas. In fact, some of hydrogens differences actually provide safety benefits compared to gasoline or other fuels. However, all flammable fuels must be handled responsibly. Like gasoline and natural gas, hydrogen is flammable and can behave dangerously under specific conditions. Hydrogen can be handled safely when simple guidelines are observed and the user has an understanding of its behavior. Ref: http://arhab.org/pdfs/h2_safety_fsheet.pdf

Shipping restrictions apply for Catalyzed Aluminum

1. The Postal Service's definition of a hazardous material includes many products, including fuels. Ref: https://www.usps.com/send/can-you-mail-it.htm?showtab=2 2. CA is a fuel. CA is a Class 4.3 hazardous material. 3. CA is dangerous when wet, because hydrogen is produced. 4. CA is available at the Point of Sale at Phillips Company, 311 Chickasaw Street, Millerton, OK 74750. 5. Shipping and transport of CA is the responsibility of the customer. MCA.pdf Page 7

Shipping and transport of CA is the responsibility of the customer.

Customers wishing to arrange for purchase and shipping of CA material are encouraged to contact qualified shippers directly. Following is information about the kind of shipping companies that may be of help to our customers who want to arrange for shipping of CA:

CA can be manufactured anywhere

CA can be manufactured at the customers site. Carbonized aluminum is safe and easy to ship. The customer can activate the carbonized aluminum and transform it into Catalyzed Aluminum (CA). The catalytic process necessary to do this is available from Phillips Company. Carbonized aluminum is safe to handle and transport. Phillips Company uses UPS for transport of carbonized aluminum.
