Twilight, the film of Stephanie Meyer's novel for teens The movie is everything the millions of teens who have devoured Myer's four books in the Twilight series have been craving, but those unfamiliar with it will probably find its romanticism somewhat baffling. Pattinson, the 22-year-old actor who is best-known for his role as the ill-fated Cedric Diggory in two Harry Potter movies, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order Of The Phoenix, is Edward Cullen, a moody and reclusive student at a school in Forks in the Pacific Northwest where Bella (Stewart) is a newcomer, having moved there to live with her father, the local police chief. Bella falls in love with Edward who is a vampire whose family has renounced blood sucking. Bella loves Edward, who has to struggle to control his urge to drink her blood and he has to protect her from a sinister rival vampire clan. The film is romantic and appeals to teen girls. It is what we call a girls response to Harry Potter.
