THE RESEARCH PROPOSAL


CURRENT SITUATION The SUMSUNG mobile phone company wants to launch a new mobile phone set which is made for the middle class people. SUMSUNG generally produce exclusive phone set. SUMSUNG is very popular for there exclusive phone set. Because of the world recession, the income of the customer reduces. So SUMSUNG want to capture middle class customer for their new product. Company likes to increase their sale by launching a new phone set. But they are not concern what features middle class people prefer most? What is price level and what kind of Advertisement middle class people prefer most. PURPOSE OF RESEARCH The general purpose for SAMSUNG is launching a new phone set. Our main research objective is to find out our opportunity. We determind the middle class people want and we are also following specific research objectives. To determine the thinking of middle class people about the SUMSUNG. To identify the features which is mostly prefer by the middle class people? To detemine middle class customers size. To determine the price which is preferred by the middle classs people? Identify the types of advertisement which is suitable for the middle class people. To determine the opinion about the SUMSUNG mobile handset.

RESEARCH DESIGN The survey research method will be the basic research design. Students, Small Business enterprise and Service holder is our main respondents. Each respondent will be interviewed in his/her home or working place. The personal inteviews are general expected at least 10 to 15 minutes. We will contact with mobile phone user especially smart phone user who are more interested about the mobile phone set. If a respondent has never use smart phone set we will skipped them from the research. SAMPLE QUESTION

1. In your sense how much the memory card should be supported? 4 GB 16 GB 32 GB 64 GB

2. Is direct marketing needed for advertising a mobile phone? Yes no

3. What types of advertisement do you like most for a mobile set? Newspaper Magazine Radio Newspaper Bill board

4. Which casing color will you prefer most? Black Red White Golden Pink Green

(Please specify) SAMPLE DESIGN A survey of approximatly 500 middle class people located in 6 divisional cities (Dhaka, Chittagong, Shylet, Khulna, Barisal, and Rajshahi) in Bangladesh.The sample will be selected on a probability basis from University, Small business place, and households in those cities. Eligible respondent will be adults over the age of 18. They must be use mobile phone. DATA GATHERING Our group members will conduct the interviews also help by the secondary data. DATA PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS Standard editing and coding procedures will be utilized. We also are using many statistical methods for analysing the data for report. REPORT PREPARATION A written report will be prepared and oral presentation of the finding will be research by the group members presented at the convenience of the SUMSUNG. BUDGET AND TIME SCHEDULE
