An Angels Passion #2 of 9 Muddy Hands

Narration: Lucifer had fallen. He and his angels were banished. Suddenly there was a new and terrible force in the universe--Evil. We tried to continue with some semblance of our lives before the rebellion, but it was impossible. So many were fallen, so many friends gone. The Creator spoke to us who were left behind, he told us that the Rebellion was far from over, that they would seem to have won a great victory but that through it would come a way to end evil once and for all. He also told us that he was constructing a new world in a yet undeveloped galaxy on the fringes of the Universe. The announcement excited us and we were finally able to rejoice and once more the Heavenly Courts rang with music. The Creator then brought us to experience his Creative power; we were awestruck by what we saw. After it was done, the Lord gave me my first assignment since the beginning of the Rebellion. I was to teach his two new creations the parents of the Human Race, Adam and Eve. Little did I know that it would be my last assignment as a messenger for far too long (Darian walks onto stage) Greetings new children of the Creator, I am Darian the Messenger. I come from the Creator to show of his wonders. I would guess that you are curious about your surroundings and even the Creator himself. Let me tell you how He built this grand masterpiece called Earth and then, hopefully, I can answer your questions. Before I begin, I must tell you that you are blessed with one of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen. Though , I must admit that every idea the Creator envisions becomes the most beautiful thing I have seen. You must understand something about our Creator. He gives each one of his creations something that sets them apart from all others. Take for example your

Earth. Its beauty lies in its colors. The Blues, Greens, Reds, and Yellows are some of the most vivid I have seen. He is amazing, is He not? Let me tell you how this world was made. When we first arrived with the Creator this galaxy was nothing, it was dark, empty space. The only true light came from the Creator himself. That is, until He spoke. I remember everything being completely silent. There was an excited tension in the air as we waited for him to speak. When He did, he only said one word, Light, and suddenly the darkness exploded into light. It was all around us, filling our minds with wonder. We had seen light before but it was as if the Creator was once more showing us His power; for the light began separating into different colors and started almost dancing, or flowing, or pulsing. We were dazzled by the sight and began singing; singing the praises of this mighty Creator from which nothing is hidden and for which nothing is impossible. The Creator turned to us and thundered with an excited smile, It is good!! Then He spoke again, Light and Darkness, separate. Become night and day. So the light was now on schedule. This was interesting. In the heavenly courts there was no day or night. We stayed silent, waiting for Him. We waited with expectation through the darkness, until the light returned. Then we saw it, our first glimpse of Earth, small and blue. The Creator moved closer to it and we followed. We finally saw that it was covered in Water. He said, Water, separate. Sky, appear. and of course it did. Some of the water stayed in the vast ocean, and some moved above the atmosphere. The next day He spoke the dry land into existence and the oceans were formed, then the lakes and streams, the hills and the valleys, were formed. Then, rather than leaving the ground bare he said, Plants, cover the ground. Instantly the ground was covered in green plants and trees, fruit and flowers of all kinds and of every color. He smiled and said, This is good! The next day, he said, Sun and Moon, appear. Separate day from night, and govern the seasons Suddenly in space two orbs appeared. The first one was a star, not the largest but young and bright, and then a moon appeared, reflecting the bright light that this Sun was casting. Once again we were in awe as we looked down

upon the small blue and green planet. Again the Lord looked at us and with a grin said, It is good! We waited impatiently until the next day. When the Creator said, Seas be filled! Skies, have life! For a while nothing happened, we all moved closer to the earth, we knew that He would fill it; populate it with something. We just didnt know what. So, we moved to the Earths surface to see. Suddenly a flock of parrots exploded from the recently made trees, they were bright red accented with greens and blues. Then we heard a tune, it started simple and grew complex, suddenly hundreds of tunes joined with it; a chorus rivaling our own in the heavenly courts. We all laughed and began our own songs to the Creator. Suddenly a plume of water erupted from the glassy surface us and we looked and glimpsed a whale, blue and massive, coasting just beneath. We looked deeper and saw a reef filled with fish of every kind, some large and silver, some small and covered with every color imaginable. It seemed, to us, that the Creator was painting a masterpiece with His words and, though we had all seen the act of Creation before, we were mystified. Who is this God who can speak such wonders into existence? We spent the rest of the day exploring, seeing all of the creatures we could, it was impossible to see them all before nightfall, so we decided to wait until the next day and finish our exploration. We should have known that the Creator had something much bigger in store. When the light returned the next day we waited for the words that would come from the Creator. Finally, with an excited smile on his face He said, Dry Land, be filled with living things! In the distance we heard a roar, then a bark, then, much closer, an animal we had never seen before walked out of the vegetation. It is what you have called a tortoise. It was incredible! It wasnt the most colorful or beautiful, but it was so interesting and new! The Creator smiled and beckoned us to follow him. He led us to a riverbank, then turned and said, The Godhead has made a decision. We will make mankind, in our own image. We will create them to only be truly complete when they are joined together. We will make a male and a female, they shall come together and be one, and out of that shall come life. Mankind shall rule this world, they will be my

stewards. With those words He grinned and kneeled on the ground. We were confused; none had seen the Creator, the King and Ruler of All, kneel on the ground before. We kneeled, quickly, out of reverence, but the Creator did not notice us. He was busy. He was creating. He started by scooping out a large amount of wet clay and piling it into a long narrow ridge. Then He began molding with his now muddy hands. We were each in awe; we had seen wonders none could describe but this was the greatest. The Creator of the stars and the planets, of the great galaxies and of the Heavenly Courts; that Creator was kneeling in the earth, with wet hands and muddy knees, forming his masterpiece. He kept molding and forming, working his way from top to bottom, smiling, almost giddy, the entire time. Finally, He sat up and scanned His creation. It was a beautiful clay sculpture, but it wasnt living. He looked back at us and, with a twinkle in His eyes, He bent over and breathed into the nostrils of His river-clay creation. Suddenly the dark color of the wet clay rippled into the golden color of tanned skin, the smooth shine of hair, and the moist pink of lips. The now-living Creation sucked in a huge breathe and his eyes fluttered open. We all wanted to sing with joy and admiration but we could not. We, members of the Angelic Host, were speechless. Adam, you were the noblest Creation we had ever seen. I remember the Creator helping you up and smiling as tears of joy flowed down His cheeks. As if He had seen this day coming forever, but couldnt believe that it had finally arrived. Later that day the Lord, again looking just as excited, put you, Adam, into a deep sleep. I watched Him separate your flesh, with the tenderest care, and remove a single rib. Then He took the rib and went back to the riverbank and made you, Eve. He formed you out of the clay, again getting muddy and wet. Then he breathed into your nostrils. When He brought the two of you together, He was so proud. It was then, as the sun sank behind the horizon, that He told us to leave. I remember Him saying, This day, this Seventh Day, is now set aside, and I have decided to spend it with them, I want no distraction. I am resting with my children. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen or heard. I want you to know that your Creator loves you more than anything. I know you wont forget that. Now, I

have given you my message; let us explore your new planet! I still need to see those birds! (Darian Exits) Narration: And so I taught them, the parents of the Human race. They were so receptive and curious, and smart. How I miss their innocent questions and the discoveries that we made about their home. Those were some of the most wonderful days of my life. There were even times when I rested with them on the Seventh Day, just us and the Creator. But although those times were filled with happiness, learning, and the beauty of grand expectations; even still, there was always the unquenchable threat of the Rebellion and the Evil that was brought with it
