DW Problem Description
use needs to report an issue with the bonuscard application. she access this application via the mainframe\ bctm program. she can sign on okay , but while within the application she gets an error message that indicates her to check the transaction name. user has rebooted the system ad relaunched the application several times, but no luck. All the activity request files being sent to Upromise from TOPS have 0 records. This has been happening since I am missing job: XPTRSTJB Tag-Str-Tot XPTRSTJ8 Run date 5/6/09 Please run and send interdepartmental mail to my attention user wanted prices at the store # 610 isp prices match the mainframe however pos prices does not match user wanted this to be corrected. The rebate file yesterday but it appears it was run with an incorrect "Deal Date" range. The attached file "Deal Date" range is for the period 02/22/09 to 04/18/09. The previous received and paid rebate file was for the "Deal Date" Please open a problem ticket for the following: Tops' billing system has been billing vendors incorrectly for "Period Billings" starting with the period 4 billing. The period 5 billing is incorrect as well. We anticipate that the period 6 billings will be incorrect as well, if the problem is not fixed before the end of period 6. "Period Billings" are for on-going volume based deals that extend over several periods. One billing is created for each period at the end of each period. Each period's billing should only bill the vendor for that one period's activity. The period 4 billings not only billed the vendors for their period 4 activity but also for their period 3 activity as well. The period 5 billings not only billed the vendor for their period 5 activity but for their period 3 and period 4 activity as well. We anticipate that, if the problem is not fixed, the billings generated at the end of period 6 will include the activity for period 6, 5, 4 and 3. We are not sure if the error is occurring in the Accounts Receivable System or in MIC. This error is costing Tops exorbitant expense as these billings are deducted by a third party who charges the vendors fees for making these deductions. The fee is based on a percentage of the deduction made. I have a couple cigarette items and a Mentos candy item that have different C&S crosscodes in MIC and OMI. These codes should always match in both systems. Problem Description: ----------------------------18,000+ BIN records were deleted in POS for all 76 stores due to incorrect data file containing ?bin deletes? received from M&M Mainframe System to Retail System. Root Cause Determination & Permanent Corrective Actions: -------------------------------------------------------------------------The Mainframe Job XPXCMW05 that runs as part of Marketing & Merchandising batch stream abended on 30th Oct'09. It was due to the partial BIN file that was received from vendor CHASE. The job XPXCMW05 when it was trying to process the partial file abended in the 2nd step of the JCL. When a full file was requested and received from CHASE, the team checked the job spool where it showed a successful return code for Step 3. As 'Step 3' was showing a successful run status, the team restarted the job from the subsequent step i.e. step 4. Note : The actual abend was in 'Step 2', but the JCL did not have any 'CONDITION Code' coded for Step 3 and in turn did not check the return code of the previous step. The 'Step 3' does the comparison of the old and new file and when it ran incorrectly on 30th Oct'09, it compared the partial file against the file that was created during the previous week's processing. The processing of partial file created incorrect 'BIN Delete file' and 'BIN ADD file' that was transmitted to all the Stores on 2nd Nov'09. The incorrect partial file processing created more deletes than usual and when it was sent to the Stores, the data was applied in all the Store database and more BIN records were deleted. As the issue was affecting the Stores, the Retail team had to manually add few BINS that were incorrectly deleted in the Store database. PCMXT.REQUEST_PARM Table Update. New example of bonuscard ticket: 100-02-559-0388. Two bonuscard coupons for the same item, and neither coupon is in conflict. Both coupons are currently showing on Mic Panel 4, Mic Panel 5. Stores are reporting that the pricing is not at the store. Coupons 36852 42765 Both coupons are pulled on 7/22.
To correct this, I have done forcedown, retail change, and it was in BC on batches effective 7/05/09 but item status at front end has not updated. The initial store reporting is 431 but suspected to be true for all stores serviced by this GIARUSSA,GARLIC CHOPPED - 97144-647 (upc 00-26825-00647)- DSD New Item NOF) We are trying to FORCE DOWN the following New Item from MIC to Stores' systems to be able to scan at POS. We have two bonuscard coupons in the mainframe of bonuscard on Wednesday Sept 9th. 1) One Coupon was currently running in the stores, and the other was a future promotion. We needed to end the current promotion in Bonuscard, so the future coupon will go down to the stores properly. The Pricing Team, went into bonuscard to end the current deal, and noticed that this coupon was in conflict with a future deal. The only thing the team is able to do, is delete the conflict, and then delete the items off the coupon. By doing this, the promotion that is currently running at the store-- did not end. The items are still scanning on sale, even thou the on-line screens of Mic Panel 4, Mic Panel 5 does not show the items attached to a coupon. The coupon we killed does not show up on the on-line screens. We need to end the current bonuscard coupon at store level. Bonuscard Coupon 46359 currently running at store--- Sale Retail 2.99 Bonuscard Coupon 51154 suppose to start 9/20-9/26 ---Sale Retail 2/5.00 Both coupons 46359, 51154 were killed on Wednesday Sept 9th, Coupon 46359 is still scanning at store level, and Coupon 51154 is not at the store, which is correct, since the promotion of this coupon did not start until 9/20. Please open a ticket on the following: We have had a discrepancy reported from store 431 for next week's ad that does not match what we see at our level. Would you please look in the POS and see what you see? The following is the background for what has happened. On Monday, August 17 the merchandiser reached out to Kim Kerr because a future sale item was going to have a conflict in BC. Kim looked in MIC and saw a current BC expanded link # of 49051 active in all stores. BC expanded link #39366 was in conflict in BCTM with BC49051. We "killed" the conflict and deleted the items from the promotion in BCTM. The next step we would take is to "F6" the promotion to delete the promotion and put the BC # back in after the next deadline to allow recycling of BC#s in a quicker fashion. UPCs for the two (2) items on this promotion are as follows:

User intimated as the following items are linked to a promotion in Demand Tec to be effective 11/1-11/7. Maintenance did not come down to have the items go on sale from 11/1-11/7. Stores received a changeback tag instead of sale tag. Demand Tec Promo ID: 98340. The following items should have come down to be on sale from 11/1-11/7 as a back to back. However, the on-line screens of MIC , and Bonuscard do show the sale retail. Currently we linked the items up manually in bonuscard to come down this weekend. Stores will need to print tags.
