1. Is CommonLE (CLE) supported by TIBCO Support or Engineering?

No.CLEisaTIBCOPSGofferingandisnotsupportedbyTIBCOSupportorEngineering.However, sinceCLEisbuiltusingTIBCOstandardTIBCOproducts,youcanstillcontactTIBCOSupportfor productspecificissues.TIBCOConsultantshouldleveragetheCLEcommunityCLEmailinglist,for informationanddeploymentexperiences.CustomermaywanttoengageTIBCOProfessional Servicesduringtheearlystagetogainknowledgeandaddressdeploymentissues.

2. When trying to login using the CLE GUI, I get web service call failed message, why?
Thewebservicecallfailure(HTTPstatuscode12029)couldhappenforcoupleofreasons: TheCLEBWenginehostingthewebservicesfortheCLEGUIisnotrunning.TheCLEBW engineshouldbestartedinorderfortheGUItowork. ThehostinformationSettings.xmlisnotconfiguredcorrectly.Thehostinformationshould bethehostwheretheGUIwebservicesarerunning.

3. Why am I getting authentication error when trying to login?

Thisissuecouldbecausedforthefollowingreasons: TheCLEBWenginemaynotpickuptherightRVjarfilecalledtibrvj.jar(availableinthe path<TIBCO_HOME>/tibrv/lib/tibrvj.jar)requiredforHawkandEMSinRV7.5andEMS4.x communication.InsteadBWsometimespicksthetibnativerv.jarduringimplementation. ThisisaBWissueandtheworkaroundistoincludethetibrvj.jarexplicitlyinthe tibco.env.CUSTOM_EXT_PREPEND_CPvariableatthebeginningofthebwengine.trafile. pleaserefertoCLE2007DeploymentGuideformoreinformation. YoumaynothaveinstalledTIBCO Administrator Security Softwarepackageifyouareusing TRA5.6.TheDeploymentGuideprovidesdetailinformationabouttherequiredlibrariesand wheretheyshouldbelocated. YoumaynothavetherequiredjavapropertyentryintheCLEBWengineTRAfileifthe TIBCOAdministratorServerisintegratedwithaLDAPserver.Youneedtoaddthefollowing propertyintheBWengineTRAfile: java.property.TIBCO_SECURITY_VENDOR=j2se ThedatabasedriverfortheAdministratordomaindatabaseisnotTIBCOnativeJDBCdrier. 4. Why am I not able to access any CLE Core Services from the UI?
Thisisacommonproblem(canoccurinbothIEandFirefox),usuallyfacedbecauseofthefollowing reasons: Browsersecurityissues. Subdomainissues:TheUIandCLECoremaybeindifferentsubdomains. PortsrequiredbyCLEbeingnonexistent,inaccessibleorbehindafirewall.

5. Why does CLE UI work in some environments but does not work in others?
Theissueissimilartotheabovequestionpertainingtodomainsandbrowsersecurity.

6. After configuring the notification frequency interval, why do I still get multiple notifications within the configured notification frequency interval?
Thisissueusuallyoccurswhenyouhaveaburstofexceptionsofthesameexceptioncodeforthe configuration.Inordertoprovideadequateperformance,theexceptionmanagementis implementedasconcurrentjobs.Assuch,thenotificationdatabasetablemaynotbeupdatedas notifiedintimeinsuchsituation,thusmultiplenotificationsaresent.

7. My Exception and/or Log Request starter processes got suspended. How do I restart them?
TheJMSlistenersforlogandexceptionmanagementaresuspendedbydesignwhenthereareissues withthedatabaseserver.YoucanrestartsuspendedprocessesfromTIBCOAdministrator.

8. My Client wants to add new features or make customizations to CLE. What should I do?
YoucansendtheenhancementrequeststoCLEdevelopmentteamandtheywilllogthemfor considerationforinclusioninfutureCLEversionsdependingonthepopularityoftherequest. Immediatefeaturedevelopmentsandclientspecificfunctionalityshouldbehandledbytheonsite PSGconsultant.TheCLEsourcecodeisavailableintheCLEPackageandcanbemodifiedor customizedbythePSGconsultantsbasedonrequirement.

9. I have discovered some issues in CLE, how do I report the issue and get it fixed?
PleasesendtherelevantdetailstotheCLEdevelopmentteam.Ifyouhavealreadyfixedthe problems,pleasesendtheupdatedcodeorsteps.

10. Based on my CLE usage experience, I have suggestions and feature requests, where do I submit them?

11. When will requested features be added to future update or versions of CLE?
SinceCLEisnotaproductbutaPSGsolution,newfeaturesandenhancementaredevelopedbased onresourceavailability.ThereisnodefinedtimelinesforeachreleaseofCLEoritsupgrade.
