At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their Picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

The Holy Spirit living inside us gives us boldness to stand up against sin in the world.

Acts 4:31, And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastors Ron and Hope. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

Yes, Jesus is coming quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. Revelations 22:20 God will bless those who bless me and curse those who curse me. Genesis 12:3 I will pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I will prosper because I love Jerusalem. Psalm 122:6

Jesus death on the cross caused confusion for the disciples. They thought that Jesus would overthrow the governments of this world and set up His Kingdom here on earth. They expected Him to declare His authority over all the earth as King. How upset they were that He let the Roman soldiers crucify Him. Peter was sneaking around watching the whole thing. He was in the courtyard watching when Jesus was being questioned and later during the beating (making the stripes on Jesus back). Through all this Peter would not even admit that he knew Jesus because he was afraid of being beaten and crucified himself. After the resurrection Jesus appeared to Peter and over 500 other believers. For 40 days Jesus walked and talked with them, giving them instructions to wait in Jerusalem for even though Jesus was leaving them and returning to His Heavenly Father, He would not leave them alone. His Father was sending a Promise who would give them power from Heaven. On the day of Pentecost (exactly 50 days after Jesus rose from the grave) the Promised Holy Spirit appeared to 120 believers in the Upper Room. For the first time ever, human beings were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues by the power of the Spirit.
