Teaching Group: No. of Pupils: G & T/SEN: 8P Boys: 15 Girls: 14 SEN - 5 Trainee Target(s) coming into lesson from previous taught lessons/ observations: Issues from previous lesson pupil/ content/ delivery/ completion etc: Behavioural problems in the class several students kept back at lunch, the whole class kept back at break Behavioural management strategies using (inc. attached seating plan): Seating plan New seating plan attached to deal with behavioural problems Behaviour Monitors off when teaching talking (or use RM tutor if necessary) No hands up policy (when teacher asking questions) Use Red and Green card in student diaries to check student understanding Green understand/yes/true etc Red No/false/dont understand etc Morpeth Achievement policy Students who work well (students who may normally not perform well or SEN students planners can be signed or postcards sent home

SEN student/s Sowda Nur Check she understands why the task has been set, encourage her when creating her game/types of mission ask her what her favourite game/superhero/cartoon is if she is struggling she can make a game based around this Ruma Begum Go through her game structure and mission list point out any spelling mistakes, ask her to correct them/assist her Tufael Ahmed Sit him towards the front of the class and ensure he is wearing glasses show him a lot of praise when he completes work Ask him at least 1 question per lesson when talking/asking the other students questions Assist him in the creation of his game structure Mission list may need to be completed for homework if game structure takes to long Susan Nicholson - ask her to repeat instructions once the class has started on a task break down the activity into smaller steps and monitor her progress when

she finishes 2 steps on game structure, check her work and then make sure she understands how to complete the next 2 steps Harry Knox use a very calm voice when addressing behaviour problems ensure he understands the task sit him in between 2 girls - Maintain a very positive relationship with him (sit him towards the front of the class) Get him to complete 1 part of each task at a time then set him a new task/goal NC Level(s) targeting (inc. Most students SHOULD: Be able to complete games checklist and character description activity and experiment with different tools you see in the tutorials implementing them in your game Some students COULD: Be able to Create a step by step instruction list of what the character has to complete on each level so other students can test your game

Activity 1 Student to complete mission maker tutorials then work on maps for the design of their game refer to Mission Maker lesson 3 8P.doc Revisit objectives see where the students are at in the lesson get them to measure their own progress/where they need to get to Presentation of game 2-3 students will present their game on the IWB to the class students can give constructive feedback about what is good/what they may need to change

Extension activity create a step by step instruction list of what the character has to complete on each level in the game so other students can test the game Objectives Plenary & Reflection 10 minutes Revisit objectives Continuing from starter - Using one blind Clone at a time, members of the group will try and direct the clone from point A to B, C and finally to D The group whos blind clone reaches point D or gets closest to point D wins the activity
