LEARNING FROM THE BEST

Over the school year the after school program saw the help of many tutors that came to help from the America Reads program at Capital university. Over the year the students met and learned from many tutors including Miss Jackie (top photo), Miss Tara (bottom photo), Mister Ryan, Miss Clorissa, Miss Cadi, Miss Elisha and Miss Lorrin! They were all an amazing asset to our after school team and helped with many subjects, from algebra to social studies.
I liked when they helped us with our homework, we needed help.- Cameron I liked that they came because they helped us with our homework. I also liked that Mr. Ryan played football and basketball with us! - Fuqua

GETTING FIT!

The after school program has been participating in a program from The Childrens Hunger Alliance called CATCH, which keeps the kids active and learning about healthy living skills such as exercise and the food pyramid!

Georges Creek Superstars!

After many Hip-Hop Dance Classes with Miss Sherrell, the regular attendees Sanaa, Destini and Jordan got to attend a special My Home Homeport Breakfast at The Franklin Park Conservatory! Their fabulous ride to the event, a limousine, was just one of the many things enjoyed that day. I really liked how we got to meet new people, and how we got to entertain, said Destini, and the food was amazing! One of the people they met was Amy Klaben, president of Homeport, pictured at left!
