CU 104 Course Assignment Calendar

Although this is an independently structured class, you will still be required to submit book assignments using PowerPoint 2010; all assignments must be turned in as email attachments sent to my TCC email at: tstrain@tacomacc.edu (please do not submitted through Angel) by the due dates which have been noted below. For those of you using PowerPoint 2007 you may notice some of the directions will be a bit different, but for most people you should have very little, if any problems. If you do find you are having trouble, please complete your work using PowerPoint 2010 which is available in all of the campus computer labs. No late work will be accepted. ON THE LESSONS TAB, THERE IS A FOLDER FOR EACH UNIT WITH THE NEEDED FILES. FOR UNIT A YOU DO NOT NEED ANY ADDITIONAL FILESEVERYTHING IS CREATED FROM A BLANK DOCUMENT.

Overview of Assignments and Tests:

you have completed the unit work document by following along with the Assignments: Once book pages you can e-mail me and wait for a reply to make sure you are doing the work correctly if you would like to see how you did on the chapter work. You will only get one chance to do the Skills Review assignment which is graded. THE CONCEPT REVIEW SECTION AT THE END OF EACH UNIT IS NOT ONE OF OUR ASSIGNMENTS, BUT I DO RECOMMEND YOU DO THIS FOR YOUR OWN LEARNING. We also do not do the Independent Challenges or the Visual Workshop which is at the end of every chapter. Please also remember as you do your work that if the book instructs you to print something, you do not need to print. Since this is an online class, you will submit all of your work through email and you do not need to print anything for me. You may work at your own pace and finish everything early if you choose, but all assignments must be completed by the due date to keep you on track for the quarter. Please do not wait until the last day in case you have computer problems or questions. There will be no excuses accepted, including web problems, since designated time has been given for these assignments.

Test:

The test as well as SAM program assignment points as indicated below, are available using the SAM 2010 software program website. The final will be done using SAM and is the only test for this class. The final will be available a couple weeks before the quarter is over. I will send out an email informing you when the final is available as well as instructions for testing in SAM.
