United Fisherman of Alaska recommends Arne Fuglvog for appointment to service as Assistant
Administrator for NOAA Fisheries. Mr. Fuglvog has shown an exemplary commitment to
sustainable fisheries and fishing communities, and dedicated work ethic in the necessary reading
and research to understand complex fishery issues. In his work he has shown an ability to craft
compromise solutions based on science, and communicate well with all constituents. Mr.
Fuglvog’s combination of on deck fishing experience, community leadership, and deep
understanding of fisheries management science will help NOAA Fisheries restore and preserve
sustainable fisheries for the benefit of all U.S. citizens and future generations.

United Fishermen of Alaska is the largest statewide commercial fishing trade association,
