Land.db Farm Management Software

Land.db farm management software (FMS) is an easy-to-use program developed by Ag Connections, Inc. that is designed to model a growers entire operation, track all production inputs and report the information with just a few simple mouse clicks. The user begins by creating a farm/field tree that includes entities, farms, fields and crop zones. The user then captures field boundaries either by tracing them using the computers mouse or importing them from an external source onto geo-referenced images. Throughout the growing season, the user creates seed, fertilizer, chemical and service applications. The result is an accurate set of production records that can provide per field cost information at a glance, be organized into useful regulatory compliance and FSA certification reports, and enable the user to perform detailed cost analysesall with the speed and precision needed to stay ahead in our technology-driven industry. Land.db users are able to create work orders and budgets, record invoices, track inputs and generate reports that make practical use of their data. Also, growers can capture yield and quality data to determine the relative profitability of a specific field, crop variety or production practice.

The Map tab in Land.db graphically represents a growers farm, displaying field boundaries layered above digital imagery.

The Applied Products tab in Land.db maintains at-a-glance input records for each field, farm or entity.

Land.db can generate colored maps based on farm, crop (as shown), subcrop, variety and trace groups (user defined filters such as nonirrigated or minimum tillage). This functionality also allows the user to generate an applied products map to graphically represent product usage.

Land.db includes extensive reporting functions that organize data for detailed analysis.

Land.db enables the user to create FSA reports for easy crop acre certification.

Users can quickly capture yield data and generate profitability reports by field.

Land.db Viewer
With Land.db Viewer, users can view field boundaries, crop plan information and actual production record history, including application date, rate, cost/acre, acres treated, product quantity and total cost. This online utility is perfect for the landowner or consultant who needs to view farm data from a remote computer. With built-in password protection, any and all of the data is accessible based on permissions assigned by the user. All data may also be exported directly into Microsoft Excel for further analysis.

Organized by tabs, application data may be viewed down to the field level. The convenient Applied Syngenta tab tracks all products that contribute toward program qualification and risk management.

Hand.db
Hand.db software, also developed by Ag Connections, allows the user to input data using certain Windows Mobile PDAs and cell phones. Employing a smaller-scale version of the product applicator found in Land.db, the user can rapidly create work orders or enter product or service applications from the turn row. Captured data is then synchronized with Land.db through Hand.dbSync via a wired or wireless Internet connection.* * Wireless data transfer requires WIFI access or a cellular data package. Hand.db, a software solution for Microsoft Windows Mobile devices, enables the user to capture application data while away from the computer. At the end of the day (or week), the user simply synchronizes the data with his or her computer, thereby uploading the data directly into Land.db.
