For total energy solutions

Fläkt Woods Ventilation Solutions - The specialist for all your ventilation needs

As a ventilation specialist, we serve our customers with an extensive range of ventilation products, focused on non residential buildings.

At Fläkt Woods we design and manufacture a broad range of ventilation products and solutions with unparalleled energy efficiency which fit the environment at optimal life cycle cost A highlight is our new Energy Recovery Units (ERU), with a redesigned counterflow heat exchanger that exceeds both current and future legislative requirements. The exact ventilation needs for a room at any given time is provided by the new Fläkt Woods ERU and it’s ‘pre-configured’ demand control, easy setup and integrated sensors.

Why Recover Energy?

It is important to recognise that buildings often lose or waste

a significant amount of energy. The Fläkt Woods ERU is

specifically designed to recover and reuse as much of this as possible, with the aim of reducing the need for extra heating and/or cooling - thus saving on running costs.

The new ERU achieves up to 95% thermal efficiency, which is

a 30-35% improvement over standard heat recovery products.

Higher heat recovery rates can therefore often reduce the need for costly re-heat devices and reduce the size of associated Heat Generating Plant.

The independent case study demonstrates the direct benefit of

the e 3 co-Crown both in terms of savings in energy consumption, carbon usage and running costs. Impressively it illustrates a payback well under 3 years. Also, and surprisingly by using the unit over a medium efficiency unit, you can save up to £ 20,000

in renewables required!

Assumptions

SFP values based on assumption that project is a refurbishment. Alternative values apply for New Build projects. Running Factor of 0.3 to 0.4 is based on assumption that Supplementary Heating needs to be used between 30 to 40% of the time (lower for the higher efficiency unit). Energy consumption, cost and emissions stated is for 2 zones (i.e. 2 ERU’s). Cost for electricity taken at 12p/kWh (datum as at 2012), based on assumed 8% annual rises in energy costs.

Energy Consumption, Carbon Emissions/Saving and Running Costs Stated are “per Annum” Calculations based on e 3 Co-Crown with CO 2 Demand Control and e 3 Co-XS Range. Supplementary heat load for ventilation is assumed to be provided by an electric heater battery.

Stated Noise levels and SFP values are based on mid-envelope duty points at a typical external pressure of 150 Pa. Acoustic data has been obtained from tests based upon the EN 13053 standard and conform to ISO 5801.

Performance curves shown are based on the e 3 nhanced or e 3 lite product versions, with an Electric Post Heater fitted (i.e. BE variant). Max Fan Pressure is optimum for HVAC applications. Data for higher pressures is available on request.

Cleanvent with Avalon®

• Uses the latest Nanotechnology with Avalon® coating to ensure that the valve will stay clean.

• Significantly reduces the need for maintenance.

• Less Dirt and Grime maintains the air diffusion and the throw pattern, ensuring optimised energy efficiency.

• Ideal for locations that are difficult to access.

Optivent Room with 227VM

• Fläkt Woods Optivent with the 227VM allows for the precise control and adaptation of airflows in VAV (Variable Air Volume) systems.

• The actuator is easily commissioned on site for accurate airflows, has a clear LCD display and versatile control options, including BMS connection.

• The system saves costs and energy because the flow and cooling effects are adapted to the actual demand in the room.

• When combined with Fläkt Woods active diffuser, it is possible to maintain comfortable and effective air distribution in the room regardless of the variation in air flow rates.

Optivent Smart, VAV and diffuser combined

• Unique new combination of VAV with diffuser.

• Keeps the supply air velocity constant, which eliminates draught.

• Prevents the cold air stream from settling down into the room too quickly, allowing the supply air enough time to mix with the warm indoor air before descending.
