Tenar and his ethic in Medical Practice

Dr.Tenar,a general practitioner,opens up a a private medical doctor practice everyday.His patient is enough many patients, especially on every Saturday and Sunday.But,in doing practice,he has done some errors which are incompatible with ethical principle (beneficence,non-malaficence,autonomy,and justice). The first case is dr.Tenar places 2 beds in his practice room which is just divided by a curtain which is very uncomfortable for the patient.It give some disadvantages because the examination will not be accurate.dr.Tenar just thinks his interest because he thinks that dividing the room with a curtain can make his examine become easy.For this case,dr.Tenar should place just 1 bed in his practice room to make a comfort situation for the patient.If this situation has been created,the difficulties (i.e : dermatological disorder,in which he has to examine the patient who is in half naked condition) will not occurred. In the second case,dr.Tenar gave the same medicine and advice to his 3 patients who came with common cold.This is improper because there is a possibility that 3 patients who came with common cold to him has the different disease because there is no guarantee that each of them has the same disease although they came with the same symptom.dr.Tenar should give the different treatment and different advice for them based on their real condition to avoid the harmful. And the next error is dr.Tenar referred his patient to a clinical laboratory which offered some reward or prize for the doctor if the doctor sent the patient as much as possible. Its very unethical because a doctor should not be influenced by commercial cycles.From this case,we can conclude that dr.Tenar has bad intention in his medical practice because he just thinks about his benefits.If he has a good intention,he will put the patient interest as a priority.A doctor should be careful in some offers from a clinical laboratory or the drug producers.Its not allowed for the doctor to receive some offers without consider the patients interest.

For the next case,there is a discrimination because there is a patient,dr.Tenars friend in Senior High School.Hes given a special room for examination by dr.Tenar.Beside that,dr.Tenar also allowed him enter the practice room without queuing which is done by the other patient.It should not be done by a professional doctor because every patient has the same right.dr.Tenar may allow the patient enter the practice room without queuing if its an emergency situation.A doctor should do the best for his/her patient.A good doctor will show the professionalism in every situation.Because a professionalism can make the knowledge,skill,and attitude become balance. There is another unethical things which was done by dr.Tenar cant keep his patientc confidentiality. It was happened when one of his patient (the oldwoman) enter his room suddenly and she saw white-yellowish discharge in the young man's underwear who was be treated by dr.Tenar at that time.The incident made the old-woman asked what the diagnosis of the young man was and afraid that the young mans disease will be contagious.From this incident,we can conclude that,dr.Tenar should be responsible with the incident,such as giving clear explanation to the oldwoman because it was too late known by the old-woman..But,this incident will not happened if a doctor be careful in his/her medical practice and make a safe situation for his/her patient.The safe situation in medical practice will build trust between patient and physician. Dr.Tenar didnt give an explanation to Mrs.Menor about her head scanning result which is brought by Mrs.Menor.Beside that,he examined Mrs.Menor shortly without giving blood pressure measurement. dr.Tenar just kept the result on his mind and referred Mrs.Menor to the neurological department of a hospital.In this case,dr.Tenar didnt respect patient autonomy and patients right. dr.Tenar should examine Mrs.Menor completely to get the best result.The other problem is dr.Tenar just copied the prescription from medical record.It shouldnt done by a doctor

because the prescription in medical record was not absolutely same for the next condition.If it is done by a doctor,the bad possibility will be occurred. From Mr.Garputalas case,I conclude that dr.Tenars attitude is very bad because he didnt show empathy to the patient.dr.Tenar should have good communication with all of his patients.In this case,he asked his assintant to find a bajaj for Mr.Garputala directly without giving an explanation for Mr.Garputala.This case should not be happened because it can make the patient become dissatisfied.It was better for dr.Tenar to give a choice for Mr.Garputala about his treatment,being hospitalized or not.However,a patient needs the best for his/her health.The doctor should give the explanation clearly before give some suggest. The doctors appearance should be good and giving a trust to the society.Whatever the situation,a doctor should keep his/her appearance well.A bad appearance will make a bad opinionin in society.In this case,dr.Tenar came to his patient with full-sweating in the body.its improper for a doctor met the patient with the bad appearance because there is possibility that the patient will feel uncomfortable.A doctor should be aware with his/her appearance because it can effect to the patient.Its better for the doctor has clean and tidy appearance.But,its allowed for the doctor not become tidy and clean if the situation is in an emergency condition which needs first aid without thinking about her/his appearance. The last case told that dr.Tenar offered himself as a mediator for Miss Ranas problem.Its very improper because Miss Ranas problem is a personal problem.dr.Tenar didnt allowed for dr.Tenar for being a mediator.Its better for dr.Tenar become a consultant for Miss Rana.If he was being a mediator,it means that he defend Miss Rana who was wrong because she has stolen her fathers money to helped her friend to got abortion..It means that dr.Tenar agreed with abortion which was done by Miss Ranas friend.It shouldnt done by a doctor because doing abortion is prohibited without an exact reason.

In the medical practice,there are many problems whichs occurred in the different situation so a doctor should follow the procedure which has been established to avoid the bad possibility.For being the best doctor,a doctor should place the patients interest as a priority.Beside that,a doctor should know that every patient has the same right to get the best for their health.The problems which were be happened in dr.Tenar are related to ethical theory and ethical measurement which has a special characteristic.If a doctor places the patients interest as a priority,it means that the doctor has fulfilled the high standard procedure.A doctor should apply all of ethical aspect so that he/she can do his duties especially duties to the patient with the beneficence and the error like dr.Tenars problems will not be happened.
