Step-by-step guide how to install Arconium 4.

0 ICS on Sony Xperia arc S

1) Unlock the phones bootloader using official Sony website:
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/. All the instructions (step-by-step) are on this site. 2) Download these files:

Maybe it will be available in a few days.) http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?naydj78rs1k0bzh JJs Hybrid ROM v3.1. Its a compilation of AOSP and Sony ICS (I am using it and its awesome). Install this instead of Arconium in case you dont want to wait until the Arconium downloading will be enabled again. http://speedy.sh/QPUu5/AdbWinUsbApi.dll http://speedy.sh/utHzZ/AdbWinApi.dll http://speedy.sh/y6gQx/fastboot.exe - Download these 3 files and place them on the desktop. 3) Rename the Arc Knight Kernel (.img) file to knight.img. 4) Pull out the battery. 5) Plug your USB cable into computer only. 6) Hold menu button on your Xperia arc S and while holding, plug the USB to the phone. 7) LED light should be blue now. If it is not, try again to reach the blue LED. 8) Hold Shift button on the desktop and while holding push right button of the mouse. 9) Youll see a window with some options. Choose Open Terminal Emulator Here. In German it should be something like Eingabeaufforderung hier ffnen, but its hard to translate. 10) Terminal Emulator will appear. Type fastboot flash boot knight.img. 11) You should see information that everything went OK and the kernel is flashed. 12) Unplug your phone and turn it on. 13) While its booting and you see Arc Knight Kernel boot image click volume button s a lot of times unless ClockworkMod Recovery appears. 14) Now, you are in CWM Recovery. You move there by clicking volume buttons and you confirm by clicking home button. (optionally) Go to backup and restore and choose backup. Your current ROM will create an image of itself on SDCard so you can come back to it in case something goes wrong (but there is 1% possibility of bad luck with arc S :D). 15) In CWM choose and confirm wipe user data and than wipe cache (partition). 16) Now, go to install zip from sdcard and choose the file with Arconium/JJs Hybrid. 17) Confirm the installation

18) After the system installation, install Arc Knight Kernel WiFi moduled via install form sdcard, too. 19) Choose reboot system (now). 20) ENJOY XPERIA ARC S WITH CUSTOM ROM AND KERNEL!

For overclocking: a) b) c) d) e) Download the app CPU Master Free from Google Play Open it Set the max. CPU frequency - 1,6 GHz Set the min. CPU frequency 245 MHz Set the governor Smartass 2 (good performance without taking care of battery) Ondemand (good battery life and no lags). f) Click set on boot g) Apply settings and close the app There are also other governors, but these ones are the best.
