The Nebraska Chapter of the Midwest Regional Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Training Center invites you to a continuing education event.
In an effort to increase awareness and service quality, the FASD Conference 2013, brings together local and national experts in the areas of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and parenting of children affected by pre-natal drug and alcohol exposure. Mental health providers, occupational therapy practitioners, nurses, physicians, parents, caseworkers, educators, social workers, judges and attorneys.

The Creighton University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. AAPA accepts AMA category 1 credit for the PRA from organizations accredited by ACCME. The Creighton University Health Sciences Continuing Education designates this activity for 6.5 contact hours for nurses. Nurses should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The Board of Occupational Therapy does not pre -approve continuing education course offerings, but will accept a continuing education activity when they are planned and conducted for occupational therapists and the continuing education activity relates to the practice of Occupational Therapy. Each professional is responsible for their own certification. The Board of Mental Health does not pre -approve continuing education course offerings, but will accept a continuing education activity provided they are planned and conducted for mental health practitioners, marriage and family therapists, professional counselors or social workers, and if they are related to mental health practice. Continuing education offerings for individuals who hold a social work certificate, but are not licensed as a mental health practitioner, must relate to the practice of social work. Each professional is responsible for their own certification. This activity has been planned and implemented by Creighton University Health Sciences Continuing Education and Nebraska Childrens Home for the advancement of patient care. Creighton University Health Sciences Continuing Education is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
