Have I Told You Lately?

Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you (2 Peter 1:13).

There are things that are important to say. We share the values that are important to us by clearly telling them to the people we love. If we believe in absolute honesty, we tell our children that we believe in honesty. If we want our children to share our appreciation of benevolent care, we tell them. We tell them what we expect. If we are organ donors, we tell it. If we have a will or trust, we tell it. If we have a vital dream, we share it. There are a lot of things on the list of things we know are important to say. We need to tell the ones we love that we do love them. It is a combination effort. It is the three little words, and it is more. It is the daily actions that take the time, energy, thought, and definite actions. We need to tell of God. When we believe in God for who and what He is, we need to tell it. As the source of our character in living and the object of our worship and praise, we should have no trouble telling children, family, and friends. They need to hear of how He works in your life. They need to know of His importance by your dedication to worship and communication of such to them. We need to tell of salvation that is bought and brought by the love and blood of Jesus. They need to hear of the difference between being lost and saved. They need to know that it is vital, and that it is of pinnacle importance to you. We need to tell them of heaven. I know we cannot fully describe the nature of heaven and eternal life. Still, they need to hear that death is not the end, and that life continues with a promise. Tell them you believe in the promise of heaven for those who belong to the Lord. We need to tell them. You need to tell them. It is up to you. Russ
