2000-Present Stage Makeup I o Instruction in the fundamentals of stage makeup with a focus on comfort of application, color theory, research, executing a design, and supporting a dramatic character through stage makeup with an emphasis on script analysis from a makeup and special effects standpoint as well as practical application of skills in a backstage setting. Strong tailoring, draping, flat patterning, millinery, and sewing skills in costume construction, period clothing, bridal, and couture fashion sewing techniques as well as sewing dance wear and specialty items such as tutus in both the romantic and pancake style. Proficient in hand knitting, machine knitting, spinning (both spindle and wheel), crochet, beading, and jewelry making. Well versed in costume crafts work such as embellishing, distressing, dyeing, and painting. Mask (plaster, leather, papier mache, latex, and thermo-plastics), puppet, and hand prop design and construction. Theatrical makeup design and application including fashion, old age, and special effects (painted and prosthetic). Hair and wig styling and construction skills including period hair styles, wig and hair piece ventilating, coloring, and dye work. Live and digital sound effects design and performance for audio dramas. Dance training- tap, ballet, improvisation, modern, performance, jazz, hip-hop, and choreography. Playwriting and adaptation for both the stage and audio plays.
