The network is committed to the principle of multi lingualism, but for practical reasons will use international English as the preferred language for communication. When members or participants at TJN events are unable to express themselves in English, TJN will try to ensure they are able to express themselves in another language. People for whom English is a first language will commit to using easily understandable international English and TJN documents will also be written in international English. As far as possible TJN commits itself to making written documents available in the core languages of the network [English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish] and will also attempt to make them available in the languages of other countries and regions. In particular, where resources allow TJN will support requests for translation into languages of developing countries.
