Engineer II (2008- Present)


• Developed alternative intersection improving drivers’ ability to see cross traffic by reducing obstructed
sight distance and sharp turning movements resulting in public acceptance.
• Reconciled disgruntled property owner by listening to concerns, discussing alternatives, and inviting
acceptance of the solution resulting in the safest roadway experience.
• Designed roadway where drainage was historically an issue by dividing effected areas into different
watersheds and utilizing conventional tools and simulations to place appropriate coverts at key locations
resulting in a safe, innovative all-weather roadway.
• Redesigned urban intersection by widening and adding both left and right turn lanes long enough for
cars to queue without impacting any private property.
• Increased traffic flow on a roadway that paralleled railroad tracks that created intersection issues.
Designs included grade separation, new signals, and roadway widening resulting in a winning bid for
PBS&J.

Engineer I (2006-2008)
• Mitigated potential issues caused by an adjustment of the vertical alignment and widening of a roadway
resulting in steep slopes with adjacent driveways by designing the roadway and driveways to ensure the
best possible situation for homeowners.
• Designed a retaining wall along a multi-use trail allowing for a smooth inclined slope.
• Assisted with the final design of a highway interchange including plan production, quantifying
removals, and proposed elements of the project resulting in timely submission with construction
currently underway.
