Purse: Chain 22 R1: Double chain in 3rd ch space from hook, dc in each chain space, 5 dc in last ch space, dc in each space on underside of chain. Ch 3 turn. R2: Dc in each of the next 18 spaces. 2 dc in each of the next 5 spaces. Dc in each of the next 18 spaces. Dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3 turn. R3: Dc in each of the next 18 spaces. [2 dc in next space, 1 dc in next sp] repeat 5 times. Dc in each of the next 18 spaces. Dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn. R4: Dc in each of the next 18 spaces. [2 dc in next space, 1 dc in next two spaces] repeat 5 times. Dc in each of the next 18 spaces. Dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn. R5:Dc in each of the next 18 spaces. [2 dc in next space, 1 dc in next three spaces] repeat 5 times. Dc in each of the next 18 spaces. Dc in top of turning ch. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Cut felt so that it sits about 2 cm from the outer border. Sew felt to the inside of the purse, making sure that the thread is not visible from the outside. Joining the purse + forming the handle: Using the chunky weight yarn and the two other contrasting baby sport weight yarns, (and starting from the lower right corner of the purse)draw up all three yarns between the front and back posts of the purse (keep yarn tails inside purse). Slip stitch along the side of the purse, then chain 32 to form the handle, continue slip stitching along the other side of the purse, fasten off when you reach the bottom left corner. Conceal yarn tails inside the purse.

Heart: Bobble : Dc 3 together R1: Magic loop, 3ch, 16dc into loop, tighten loop, join with slip stitch in top of ch3. (16dc). R2: Work in back loop of every stitch. 1ch, hdc in back loop of same st, *2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st, rep from * to end, ending with 2 hdc in last st, join with slip stitch in both loops of ch1. (24sts). R3: 3ch, dc 2 together in same st, 2ch, skip next st, [bobble in next st, 2ch] 3 times, skip next st, [bobble in next st, 2ch, skip next st] twice, [bobble, 3ch, bobble] in next st, 2ch, skip next st, [bobble in next st, 2ch, skip next st] twice, [bobble in next st, ch2] 3 times, skip next st, dc 2 together in next st, ch3, slip stitch into same st as dc 2 together, slip stich into next st. R4: Work in back loop of every st. 1ch, hdc in next and each st to end, join with slip stitch in both loops of ch1. Finish, cut yarn and draw ends behind heart, leave a tail long enough to attach heart to purse. Slip stitch the contrasting yarn around the posts of R4. Fasten off.

Bird:
BIRD with 3.75mm hook Into a magic ring with a 5 inch tail: Chain 2, 1 hdc, 1dc, ch1, 1trc, ch1, 3dc, ch1, 3dc, 1trc, ch1, 1trc, ch1, 1trc, 2dc, slip stitch into magic ring. Fasten off and leave a 5 inch tail. Tie the two tails together, this forms the loop that you will use to attach it to the purse. BEAK with 3.75mm hook Join orange yarn into the second trc. Ch1, 1dc,sc into the same space. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Make eye using embroidery thread. I used a French knot. WING with 3.75mm hook Chain 6. Into the 4th chain make 1hdc, 1hdc into the next ch, 3sc into the last ch space, 1 hdc in each of the next two spaces, 1 dc in last space, slip stitch into 6th loop of beginning chain. Fasten off and leave a tail long enough to attach wing to bird.
