Scientific Program
The Conference will include plenary lectures, key lectures, oral and poster presentations on the following tentative sessions: 1. Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Social and Administrative Pharmacy 2. Pharmacognosy, Medicinal Plants and Natural Products 3. Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Drug Quality Control 4. Biopharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology 5. Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology (or Drug Delivery System) A half-day symposium on Pharmacy education in ASEAN countries will be hold in parallel with scientific program. Panel discussions on specific topics will be organized. A student forum will be provided.

Call for Papers


The Organizing Committee cordially invites all participants to present their papers (oral or poster). Abstracts and full papers will be printed in the Conference Abstracts and Proceedings, respectively.

Orals
Oral presentation will be 20 minutes including questions and answers (except plenary, 40 min; key lecture, 30 min).

Posters
Concise and insightful posters should be visible at a distance of 2 m. Poster dimension should be 90 cm x 110 cm (width x length) and should be affixed at assigned area.

Instructions for Manuscripts Publishing in Proceeding of Pharma Indochina VIII


The abstract and full paper should be typed single-sided on A4 paper with margin 2.5 cm top, bottom, left and right. 1. Title The full title should not exceed 50 characters including spaces between words. The title must be Capital letter, Times New Roman Font, Size 12 points character, Bold text. 2. List of Authors Initial(s) (one given name may be used) followed by the surname of author(s) together with their affiliations. When the work has been carried out at more than one address, the affiliation of each author should be clearly indicated using superscript, lower-case letters. The author who presents in this conference must be indicated with an asterisk. The Font is Times New Roman, Size 10 points, Plain text. 3. Affiliation(s) Name(s) and address(es) of the establishment(s) where the work was done, designated by superscript, lower-case letters where appropriate The Font is Times New Roman, Size 10 points, Italic text. 4. Abstract An abstract should not exceed 300 words. The Font is Times New Roman, Size 12 points, Plain text. 5. Keywords A maximum of 6 keywords or short phrased suitable for indexing should be supplied. The Font is Times New Roman, Size 12 points, Plain text. 6. Text The text should be divided into main section, such as the following: 1. Introduction; 2. Materials and Methods; 3. Results and Discussion; 4. Conclusion. Table and Figure must be added in the text of results and discussion. The text should not be over 5 pages. The Font is Times New Roman, Size 12 points, Plain text, except title of the new section is bold text. 7. References All references cited in the text should be listed at the end of the paper and assembled consecutively by numbers. References must consist of names and initials of all authors, title of paper, abbreviated title of periodical, year, volume, and first and last page number.

Example of writing for the reference is listed as follows (in case of journal citation): 1. K. Harada, T. Murakami. In vitro permeability to salicylic acid of human, rodent and shed snake skin. J. The Search for Bioactive Compounds from Microorganism, New York, Springer Verlag, 1992, pp. 263-280. Important Notes Once accepted, the manuscripts will be printed as it is by offset. This means that the author(s) will have sole responsibility for any typographical and/or grammatical errors in the manuscripts. An exhibition on pharmaceuticals, equipments and chemicals will be organized in parallel with the conference.

Social Programs
Coffee breaks, lunch, and farewell party will be provided to participants. Coffee breaks, and lunch will be provided to accompanying persons.

Visa
In general, entry visa are requested for foreigners, with exception of some countries such as ASEAN countries, France, Japan, and Korea, etc. It is necessary to contact the Vietnam embassy or consulate general to arrange the visa before the trip.

Hotel

Official Airlines
Vietnam Airlines will be the official carrier for the Conference. It takes 30 minutes from the Tan Son Nhat international airport to the Conference Venue or the nearby hotels by taxi with 8 USD fare.

Tourist Information
Ho Chi Minh City, the former name was Saigon, is the biggest city of Vietnam and one of the largest cities in South East Asia with a population of over eight millions. It lies in the southern part of Vietnam and has almost only 2 seasons: sunny season and rainy season. Average temperature in December is from 2430oC. There are many tourist sites inside or nearby the city. The Organizing Committee cooperated by Saigon Tourist will organize the tours before and after the Conference upon request of participants. During the Conference, city tour and tours to nearby areas (Cuchi tunnel, Vung Tau, Mui Ne, Nha Trang, Mekong Delta) will be provided for accompanying persons.
