Company description

Virgin Water - This proposed company presents an opportunity for establishing a bottled water plant for providing pure drinking water. The proposed product line will consist of bottles of 1.5 and 0.5 liters. In the initial phase of the company only 0.5 liters and 1.5 liters bottles will be introduced in the local market. After successful introduction of the new brand of bottled water the product line may be extended to 13 and 19 liters cans. Mission: To provide the purest of "Naked" drinking water by bringing it back to its origin with alkalinity, high PH and ORP readings. Focusing on using environmentally safe, BPA free recycled bottles to improve customer satisfaction and going green overall. With Mother Natures turbulent and unexpected natural disasters, and human errors, the public must be made aware of the water we ingest into our bodies. We feel it is essential in educating our community locally and globally the importance of healthy drinking water. VIRGIN Water benefits and enhances our everyday lives and wellbeing; after all, we humans are made up of 70-75% water. OUR FUTURE COMMITMENT

At VIRGIN Water we will be committed to the environment. Some of the ways in which we will attempt to achieve this is by:

Encouraging the use of larger water bottles, over smaller single serve size bottles Our 5 gallon water bottles will be sanitized before they are REFILLED, which means the bottles are REUSED and stay OUT of landfills. Unlike small single serve sizes (500ml, 1L and 1.5L bottles) where a large quantity of the bottles make their way to the garbage and landfills without recycling. At VIRGIN we will focus heavily on using the larger bottles, however in order to cater to our market we will sell small bottles and offer a recycling program to ensure that these bottles do not go in our trash! We will do however encourage the use of these larger bottles because they can be used, and refilled, and reused again. Using these bottles is one of the most effective ways you can drink bottled water without contributing to waste. We generally will re-use a approx 5 gallon water bottle for up to 60 times. 60 * 18.5L = 1,110 L = 1,110,000 mL. After preferred expiry usage we will Recycle our bottles. ONE 5gallon bottle can replace up to 2,220 small bottles of 500 mL that are wasted and thrown to garbage into the landfills. For instance, just to give you an idea of how fast this can add up and take up our landfills by irresponsible people that don't recycle their water bottles properly: 2,000 approx (two thousand) 5gallon bottles (Recycled after preferred expiry usage) would replace up to 4,500,000 approx (four million five hundred thousand bottles) of bottles that are irresponsibly thrown to garbage

Minimizing the use of travel for deliveries We will be structuring routes to ensure that delivery routes are filled to the capacity. This way, we can achieve the maximum level of volume of water delivered per route, which reduces the overall "per bottle" energy used to distribute water.

Recycling We will recycle all our damaged bottles, used caps, plastics and cardboard used in our local recycling facilities. We will generate VERY little garbage waste.

Market & Consumption of Bottled Water in Poland

In the period of June 2009 - May 2010, Poles drank 2.3 billion litres of bottled water, which cost 2.4 billion zloty (0.6 billion euro), almost totalling 150 million zloty (36.5 million euro) more than in the summer 2008/2009. However, the water market in Poland is slowly becoming saturated, shows a report by ACNielsen. Bottled water makes up 41.1 percent of soft drinks market in Poland and is the second biggest after fizzy drinks, whose turnover in 2009 amounted to over 2.5 billion zloty (0.6 billion euro). Danone, which owns Zywiec Zdroj, is the most successful bottled water producer in Poland, holding a 33.6 percent share in the Polish water market. Next follows Nestle Waters, which produces Naleczowianka and Dar Natury, and Coca-Cola which has recently conquered the Polish market with Kropla Beskidu. Although the sale of bottled water in Poland is constantly on the rise - in 2009 it increased by 9.1 percent - the consumption of bottled water in Poland is still low in comparison with other EU countries. Poland comes only 14th in the European ranking of water consumption. An average Pole drinks 66-75 approx litres of water per year, while in Italy that number amounts to 197 litres. As per 2011 survey around 110 litres in the Czech Republic, around 122 litres in Germany, and
84 litres in Slovakia. This gap seems to suggest there is considerable room for growth. The anticipated growth in awareness of the importance of regular water consumption will be a key factor demand for bottled water. Operations:

The plant can bottle 1 gallon = 3.79 Ltr 15,000 Gallons of water per day, the size of bottles will be 1.5 Lt and 0.5 Lt to make the water convenient and attractive to end users. The sale at 100% capacity utilization is Rs 209 Million. The plant would be set up in three famous cities warsaw, Krakow & Gdansk where all the required infrastructure and amenities will be available.

PRODUCT STRATEGY

Virgin Water - The proposed product line will consist of bottles of 1.5 and 0.5 liters. In the initial phase of the company only 0.5 liters and 1.5 liters bottles will be introduced in the local market. After successful introduction of the new brand of bottled water the product line may be extended to 13 and 19 liters cans. In this project we would like to concentrate on the supply chain of the bottled Water. Virgin Water Company will sell its product first in polish market and after successful polish mission then will move toward other countries. Some of the best growth prospects lie in tailoring products to customers' needs. Therefore to compete with other companies and brands we will tailor the product as market's needs and requirements. Among many things, the most important is to adjust the packaging, especially labels. The most often changing part of the label is the content (name and description on the packaging). Sometimes also the heading (name, fonts) may be needed to improve or even among many changes available, some graphical adjustments. Besides this most importantly, will be introducing health-oriented consumers to vitamins with a new twist a newly designed closure that will dispense a liquid vitamin blend into virgin water with a simple turn of the cap.

Bottled Water Packaging Consists of: bottle made of plastic screw cap 2 labels (front and back)

Components will be made in three different colors to help easy differentiate products that are aimed for customers with different needs. All materials are tested in the laboratories in the factory - before the conditioning, and as the part of the finished product, before sending it to the client. It is proved that the packaging has no impact on the finished product.

Draft capacities

To plan the right amount of space in stock, number of pallets/trucks and the frequency of deliveries we need to know: How much and how fast we can produce? Haw many raw materials do we need to produce an exact batch of a shampoo?

With the draft capacities we will be able to plan ahead the shipments of materials and the outflows of finished products. We will also know how much do we need to stock. It will allow us to produce more effectively and lower the transportation/warehouse costs.

Supplies

The supplies are divided into following groups:

Table 1 Supplies - main division

Where? Direct Indirect

What? Packaging-Empty Bottles/Cartons/Labels Chemicals/Liquid Vitamins

Where from? Poland Foreign countries

There are both direct (to the factory) and indirect (to external warehouse on same place) supplies. All them are delivered directly to the warehouse. Chemicals/Liquid Vitamins can be delivered by tank trucks, other just on pallets - in bins, barrels or special containers. The packaging supplies including Empty Bottles/Cartons/Labels can also be delivered directly to Warehouse. The packaging supplies can be delivered on pallets, some in big bags by suppliers' trucks.

The supplies will be called - off in advance. The short - term supplies planning will be made in 2 days advance -these are usually direct packaging supplies called -off from the Polish suppliers' stocks. The long-term supplies planning will be made in 2 months advance that gives time to deliver supplies of chemicals/Liquid Vitamins from the international suppliers.
