Assessment Criteria Relatedness to question/topic: (1) The extent to which the video clip addresses the specific aspects

of the topic Addresses all aspects of the topic in an integrated way & contains no repetition of ideas. Addresses all aspects of the skill components, includes no irrelevant material or repetition of ideas, however concepts and ideas are not always well integrated. Addresses only most aspects of the skill components &/or contains some irrelevant material &/or repetition of ideas. The video does not address the skill components.

Concepts and Theories (2) The extent to which the video demonstrates an understanding of the skill and the concepts & theories which underpins it.

Evidence of higher level of understanding of concepts/theories related to the skill demonstrated. Evidence of substantial understanding of concepts/theories used for the skill demonstrated. Evidence of partial understanding of concepts & theories used for skill demonstrated. No/poor understanding.

Analysis (3) The extent to which the video demonstrates critical thinking.

Coherent and logical sequence, extensively supported by best practice; the analysis is also original, or very clearly put. Well organized and clear analysis evidenced by research and best practice. Some evidence of an analysis with some support from best practice, but it is unclear in some important key areas. Descriptive rather than analysis or the analysis is not well supported, unclear or logically flawed with limited support. There is no argument-description or personal only with no supporting logic or evidence. Not connected in any logical way. Best practice literature cited is relevant and extensive. Some literature cited; only some references relevant to argument &/or some problems with referencing.

Literature and Referencing (4)

Some literature cited, citation poor or non existent, dated references. Opinion only, no literature cited. Presentation (5) High level of skill in presentation and highlights concepts & ideas in a concise innovative way. Diction, grammar & overall presentation is satisfactory and clear. Presentation is poor.

Individual and Group participation (10)

The group acknowledges and agrees with the overall contribution of group member. There are conflicting reports from group members about the individuals contribution. All respondents except the individual agree that the contribution of the student was unsatisfactory. There is a lack of consistency in the students reports.
