Automatic application control of a painting installation

USE
The new MCR (2) control rack monitors all the parameters of an automatic powder paint installation with great precision. MCR is a 19-inch rack-mounted product, designed to be integrated into the FCR (1) modular cabinet. It allows the management of a range of application processes, from the simplest to the most complex, and can be combined with the different control modules such as: The VCR (3) converter control robot module used to manage sweeping and reciprocator positioning. The TCR (4) or CRN457 (5) modules used to control trigger movement, flow-rate, high voltage, ... The interface with the customer's installation used to detect the parts, authorise conveyor operation, etc.

CUSTOMERS BENEFITS
:: Easy to operate: MCR permits to the operator to drive very simply the installation. The control by touch screen allows a simple and fast input on actions :: Time savings: MCR ensures the automatic calibration of high and low points of the robot, with equipments you installed. During production, you can change the parameters of each table on-line and with out stopping the conveyor. A correcting coefficient can adjust each the table parameters without changing them (for instance: the powder flow of all sprayers is increased of 10 % simultaneously). :: Flexibility of use: MCR allows to manage simultaneously tow types of different sprayers (INOBELL and Auto-Mach-Jet) in one spraying table. The sprayers can be parametered independently, and when the part is detected: the film built is homogenous,thus major paints savings are achieved. :: Preventive maintenance: A production assessment permits counting the functioning hours of sprayers and robots. Setting of alarm levels is possible. It permits to inform user when the preventive maintenance time is reached, in order to check: the electrode of Auto Mach-Jet the powder feed system the vertical sweeping move of the robot

MAIN FUNCTIONS
:: The MCR module allows control of the parameter necessary for the application on the parts. Here are listed the numerous possibilities:
1/ Management of up to two Sames RFV reciprocators. The possible axis configurations are as follows: No robot 2 axes 1 robot with one axis = 1 VCR 1 robot with two axes 2 robots with one axis > 2 axes 1 robot with one axis + 1 robot with two axes = 2 VCR 2 robots with two axes 2/ Management of the On/Off control of up to 24 sprayers by serial link (version tall FCR). 3/ The control On/Off of the spraying is dispatched on 3 plans by robot (setting of a temporization by plan). 4/ Management up to 64 different tables / robot (batch of pieces). The table contents all the parameters of movement, of spraying, of high voltage, of detection, of setting of the shroud air and of setting of turbine rotation for the sprayer INOBELL. 5/ Possibility to launch one cycle inward/backward of gauge and of stroke in order to permit the blowing of all powder sprayers. 6/ The module is fully interfaced with the installation of the customer: > Inputs: detection on height axis or cell(1) for recognition of pieces recognition of pieces on gauge axis allowing one automatic positioning of axis (control of the spraying = tempo) 483 m external default m (stop of sweeping of recip. and of spraying) booth ventilation in function conveyor in function emergency stop button > Outputs: external default (signalization or other) conveyor function authorization
(1) cells allow the recognition of the shapes of the parts to coat. To each cell is associated one sprayer or a consign of gauge axis.
