Please make revolution only after thoughtful planning, so that the purpose may serve

Revolution ! Revolution ! Revolution ! Since the selfish and cruel king was born in the world, either leader or the public had hoisted the flag of revolution against him. The main reason was the extremely selfish attitude and unbearable cruel tendency for exploitation instead of trying for people's development. Thus, revolution is a continuous process happening before Christ. Looking to such mercyless misuse of the power of the King, the saints, thinkers and literaries started raising their voices against it. Socrates of Athens openly started to speak against the political administration about 2400 years ago. Thereafter, many like Plato, Aristotle, Karl Marx, Tolstoy, Russo, Dostoyevsky, Thoreau etc., had raised their voices against the so-called political administration. Since then the Russian revolution, Chinese revolution, French revolution, Italian revolution, British revolution and American Revolution etc etc took place. Then through the thoughts of thinkers and poets a new election-based political administration named democracy emerged. Such political arrangement spreaded in so many countries all over the world. And with a purpose to associate entire public of the world, the wise people established the League of Nations, and then the world organization named United Nations Organization UNO. Thus, such election-based democracy had given false message to the people. Hence the slogans of revolution are still

have not stopped till to-day. In fact, the whole world today is in search of a great revolution. The people of many countries, today, blew the bugles of revolution. It started from Tunisia with a small matter. A man, earning his bread from a business of selling vegetables was standing aside the road along with his vegetable cart. At that time a police inverted his cart, perhaps he could not have paid him his instolements. It was a question of life and death for that poor man. He was confounded and he burnt himself on the spot. In fact the 90% people of Tunisia lived in such a burning like condition. The flame of the poor man spreaded all over Tunisia and within couple of minutes the crowds of people all over the country got together flying the flags of peaceful revolution and the king had to run away. Inspired from this, a young man and a woman put on a message of revolution like Tunisia, on internet and on the next day lacs of people of Egypt gathered on the road with the flags of revolution. Then, this situation took place in many countries of 22 Arabian countries. This happened in many countries of Africa. Developed countries like China, Italy, Russia did not remain untouched by their people's upsurge. Politicians of all countries are afraid. The Gaddafies of some countries like Libya, at first faced such revolution and finally they escaped or died. Now, another question arises. Whether such revolutions make people happy ? Whether good governments will be established in the world ? I want to tell all the people of the world, expecting revolution that let us make peaceful revolution until we find a certain kind of good political governance, Make the politicians run away but if we do not ponder over the issue of who will be at the helm of affairs, then, it will be like replacing one master for the other on our heads. Here, I want to tell people that as Abraham Lincoln said, "If we make revolution without thinking of democracy of the people, by the people and for the people, we will remain without any change." Therefore, friends ! Let us keep all people, along with political leaders search for partyless democratic government as suggested by our Gandhiji and Jay Prakashji and through peaceful and nonviolent revolution let us move towards worldly humanism.

99.9 % of National Property in the hands of 10 lacs people of the country

'India will be called perfect free nation only when there is partnership of the people in all political and economical powers.' This was the definition of freedom given by M. Gandhi and A. Lincoln also told the same thing. Let us observe todays situation. Only ten lacs people from one hundred twenty-five crores of people, have illegally possessed 99.9% of Indian national property. This situation is not in India only but all over the world. Majority of these people are great businessmen, owners of insurance companies and shipping companies, big shots of communication business and big industrialists, patrons of health world, Bollywood actors, patrons of sports, big shots of educational world, seasoned and shameless politicians, corrupt bureaucrats, marketing managers and C.E.O. Majority of them, in fact are power brokers, to whom Gandhiji would have described as pimps. Some of them are media owners also. Ten lac owners of this national property of millions and billions of rupees remain in limelight in print media and news channels, day and night with the strength of their money. Politicians depending upon such ten lac people, hear their voices only and receive maximum benefits in their favours. 50 crores of people from the remaining one hundred twentyfour crores and ninety lac people do not get simple food two times a day and remaining 55 crore people hardly get two time food even after hard labour. All these have no idea or knowledge about self government about their votes, their rights, education etc,. I do not want to say anything to our shameless politicians, playing drums boasting of the biggest democracy of the world. I do not want to say anything to the selfish idiots also.
3

The term 'Idiots' do not mean fool. In ancient Greek democracy of Athens also, many people thought of themselves only. In Greek language, there is a word Idio which means private-personal. Those who only cared for themselves were called Idiots. I do not want to tell anything to such happy intellectual people who care for themselves but I want to say two things to the rationalists, Gandhi devotees and leaders advocating Hindu civilization. Gandhiji did not believe at all in parliamentary political governance. He compared parliament with a prostitute way back in 1909. He was in search of such a political administration in which entire political, social, educational including economic power should be in the hands of people. Abraham Lincoln was in search of the government of the people, by the people, for the people as advocated by him. At the age of 64, he felt that the way of happiness of lower class people and the poors, cannot be found through the policy of Indian National Congress, then after a huge mental conflict, he resigned from the membership worth four Annas of Congress and decided that the search of happiness of lower class people and the poor would be his search of truth. 'I will continue the search of truth for next births and if needed I am prepared to die. Finally the happiness of lower class and the poor is my search for the truth. If I dont find in this lifespan then in next birth also. I will continue my search of truth in birth thereafter. If I have to sacrifice my life, I will do so. But happiness of backwards and the poors is my search of truth.' He did not believe in rebirth. He told about two-three births only. He told how important are the backwards and the poors for him and how difficult that task was. He felt that he wasted his 64 years of his life. Hence, after the age of 64 years, he started afresh the exercise of finding truth of happiness of lower class people and the poor. Later, in fifteen years he got some truth, but at the age of seventyfive he was killed believing him useless. Now the wise people of the country have to complete the remaining work of Gandhiji and pay homage, by reviving him. (Abstract From: 'Gandhiji : How Much Relevant? Thought - Jewels of Gandhiji

Hindustan may get momentary victory if it accepts the policy of sword, but then it will not remain dignified in my heart. I am a devotee of Hindustan, because whatever I have, is due to it only. I certainly believe that Hind has a mission -a message to give to the world.

'Swaraj' or self governance means a government which is acquired by the votes of maximum persons either senior citizens, original residents or people established here committing India as their own country, male or female or every person serving this country with his or her toil or any person who has taken trouble to register his/her name as a voter. The true 'Swaraj' will be established only when all people will get equal strength to fight against the misuse of power, not when some people get reins of power only. In other words, self government can be made only by making common class people conscious about their strength to control the state authority and to keep them in their control.

I certainly believe that though Hindustan has culture that is incomplete and has not enough strength to get through acid test of bearing pain, it has survived against the attacks of terrible time. If it has enough patience to face against such attacks, it can give permanent contribution to the world to get peace and to make solid progress.

Total self government means, 'Without any discrimination of caste, religion or position'. It should be equal to the king and the farmer, it should be equal to the rich landlords or the landless farmers, as much as for Hindus equal to the Muslims, and should be equal to Parsi, Jain, Jews, and Sikhs.

The self government of my dream is the self government of the poor. The necessities of life used by the king and the rich should be available to them also.

The constitution for which I make efforts to achieve, will be relieving Hindustan from slavery and dependable condition, and if needed, will be giving right of committing even sin. My effort will be for such Bharat in which there will be no discrimination of high and low among the people. All communities will be living in association with one another. In such Bharat there will be no place for the sin of untouchable or intoxicating drinks or substances. Women will enjoy rights as much as the men do. We will be living peacefully with the remaining world and we will not rob-off any one or
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 9

The poor should get common facilities enjoyed by the rich. I dont have any doubt in the matter that it is not a complete self government. until the assurance of all these facilities is given. The self government of my imagination is only possible when we all keenly believe that self government can be got, run and maintained only by truth and no violence.

Individual freedom is the result of pure non- violence.

10 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

That situation is not allowed where handful rich live in carved palaces and thousand and lacs of people live in the dark, without air and light. it cannot be so.

No improper rights are enjoyed where the system is well organized.

hearts are pure, who have feelings for the country and want to learn and ask for the guidance. If some intelligent and sincere workers are found, the whole country can be united to work intelligently and democracy can be developed from the mobocracy.

The religion of national love teaches us that the person should die for his family, the family for the village, the village for the region and the region should sacrifice for the country. Same way, the country should be free to sacrifice for the interest of the whole world when needed.

Socialism is very pure thing. The means to attain it also should be pure. Only dirty target is achieved through dirty means. Thus, people cannot equal king by killing the king or the labourers can not be the masters by killing the master. Thus, it should be accepted for all.

No one can be international without being national.

After about fifty years of public life, I am able to say that the service of the nation and service of the universe are not opposite and my faith about that principle has increased.

Only the truthful, non-violent and sacred socialist can spread socialism in the world or in Hindustan. There is no country following socialism anywhere. Such establishment of society without the means shown by me, is improbable.

Those people, who do their work well remaining united without any external control, can form real republic Government. Where there is no such situation, it can be proved that, though the system is called republic; it is not true republic.

There are two ways for Hindustan today. (1) Either to admit western standard, that is to accept the formula of 'stronger getting double.' It means that the strength of weapon is true and truth is not a weapon of strength. (2) Or to accept the standard of East which means where there is religion there is victory. The truth has no fear of losing. Weak and stronger all have equal rights to get justice.

Uncontrolled individual freedom is the law of life of the wild animals. We have learnt to find out the middle way between the individual freedom with social control. Progress of any individual or a society is possible only when we voluntarily accept the midway between individual freedom and social control.

Our average lifespan is very low. Our poverty is increasing day by day, the reason for which is, we have not taken care of our seven lacs villages. We sit in this beautiful pavilion of abundant lights but we do not know that we light these bulbs at the cost of poor and we are grateful to the poor for these lamps, and if we forget that truth, we have no right to use those lamps.

Only twenty persons cannot run political administration of true democracy by sitting in the parliament but it should be run from the bottom by the people of the village.

We should give training to those groups of people whose

While thinking about the condition of the labourers, the following elements must be included. 1. The labourers should have the work of only that much hours of labour that they can get enough rest.

2. They should have enough means to get education and training. 3. They should have enough means to get enough milk, clothes and education for their children. 4. The houses should be clean to live in for the labourers. 5. The labourers should be in a position to save something to maintain their lives in their old age.

the patients. They do not know Gujarati names of the organs of body, and therefore, they have no intimacy with the patients, except writing prescriptions. It is said that in Hindustan, water falls from the mountains abundantly in monsoon but we waste them due to lack of knowledge (absence of thoughts).

I have told so many times that there is no place for violence, robbery and fire during non co-operation movement (Satyagrah). Still we have burnt houses, took possession of weapons violently, snatched money, stopped railways, cut wires, killed innocent people and robbed shops and private houses in the name of Satyagrah. I do not wish to be released from the jail or escape from hanging by such dirty tricks.

The first duty of news papers is to know the feelings of the people and to publish them; secondly, to produce certain necessary atmosphere among the people, and thirdly to expose the shortcomings of the people without hesitation even in difficult circumstances.

Today cities rule over the villages and as a result villages are destroyed. If we desire to establish self government on the basis of non-violence we must return proper status to the villages.

Unrest in fact is discontent. During the period of Congress it was called discontent. Mr. Hume always said that it was necessary to spread discontent in Hindustan and that discontent was a very useful thing. It is very difficult to explain to people to come out of their present situation, if they think they are happy in their present situation. Hence, discontent must be there before every reform.

If I rarely can serve my family, it should be called a vain pride to serve India. It is better, if I make my family the goal of efforts and say that I serve the whole nation or whole humanity.

Not thousands but lacs of people live with love and affection. Love includes many quarrels and disputes of crores of people. Hundreds of communities lived united but History had not taken any notice.

Now, the entire affairs of our legislative assembly are conducted in English. The same thing happens in many institutions. Thus it is like a miser buring his property. Same condition is in courts also. The judges declare their judgments in English. The classes of people going to the court are eager to hear the punishment in vernacular but they cannot understand the useless (dry) final order of judges. The doctors who studied medicines through English medium have the same predicament. They cannot give necessary guidance to

I feel, we must admit that people who maintain British regime are rich people. It is in their interest to maintain it. Such money makes individual weak.

In any country under any reform, everyone did not attain perfection. The inclination of Indian reforms is towards making morality strong, while the inclination of the Western reforms is to make immorality strong. Hence, it is called retrogression; the Western reform is non-Godly while the Indian reform is Godly.

I do not believe in Dalit-Falit castism. He was in my heart. Whenever I go to the village I used to see him without fail. He had seen early days of freedom Drums and bugles Were played in the village. People of the village saw So many dreams. When I went to the village last time. He said, 'Nania! I had seen many dreams. And also planted those dreams In my sons mind. The son died doing labour. I planted those dreams In his sons mind But he also died naked Even though I did not lose courage I planted the same dreams In his son's mind He is also going to die, Nania! you said, many times that If one generation of man Do hard labour, The whole family comes up, But my fourth generation Today went to graze cattle Nania ! I have now lost courage, To tell him about my dreams ! What can Nanio speak? He himself is trapped Into day to day routine life. Even though in his impotent mind A fire ball is burning. Nanio, is abusing himself believing himself impotent.

Gandhi : My guide in perspective of Human - awakening Human prosperity

South Gujarat had a major contribution in freedom movement of Gandhiji. The influence of Gandhiji has not receded even after his death till today. Gandhi Vichar Vartul of Sarvodaya Mitra Mandal and Prarthana Sangh running at Bhadra Ashram is one such institution. When Shri Kishorbhai, the Secretary of Prarthana sangh, invited me to deliver lecture about Gandhijis thoughts, I gave him this subject and I delievered lecture on Gandhiji : My guide in perspective of Human awakening. When Shri Kishorbhai, secretary of Prathana Sangh came to invite me, Shri Bhagavatibhai Ex-president of Gujarat Sahitya Parishad and a respected literary person, was also present there. He knew what I was writing. He told me to publish such small books on the subject of politics. This book is the first link of that chain.

Since years Shree Kishorbhai in 'Gandhi Vichar Vartual' invites every month a renowned gentleman who believes in Gandhian thought, to deliver a lecture. Thus devotees of Gandhiji spread Gandhian thoughts taking advantage of it, Since Annaji started his movement, he remained very active. He is the editor of ''Prarthana" the monthly magazine of prarthana Sangh and in order to spread Gandhian thought through this monthly, he gives active contribution.
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 21

As such, Vinobaji thought of new revolution actually, in context of Gandhian thoughts only, giving it a name of 'Sarvoday' and you also accepted the thought connecting the name of Gandhi Vichar Vartul with Sarvodaya Mitra Mandal. Hence, I have a faith that you will like my different kind of lecture. First of all, a question may arise about my authority. How can I dare to speak on a serious subject-like Gandhiji : My guide in perspective of human -awakening? I do not like to waste time but would like to say that whenever I have an opportunity, I have dared to open my mouth regarding the political administration of our country. I have kept an eye on election based governance of democracy and till this day, have written at least twenty five books on politics, and some of them were translated in Hindi, Marathi, and English also. Being disappointed with the corruption spreaded in every capillary of the country and after realising that the power greedy politicians, industrialists, corporate world, speculators, mafias, power lobbies, gundas made 90% of the people impotent by exploiting them, I have written all these books and still I am writing seven more books because I have considered myself responsible for the present, unbearable political and social situations. We have accepted that present political system of election - based governance is the best. but with reference to the entire democratic systems of the world, is todays democracy really best? Now it is time to ponder over this question. So many thinkers of the world have criticized the present form of democracy. Due to the lack of time, I give up that matter, just now. Many books have been written about Gandhiji in the world, that had been discussed and criticized also, and even as Gandhiji is being forgotten in India; his name becomes greater in foreign countries. So it is essential to understand Gandhis thoughts with reference to the human upliftment. Delusions of the people are broken shortly towards
22 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

monarchy or dictatorship, Fascism, Stalinism, Naxalism, Maoism, No sooner the pioneer ends, mask of his 'ism' is removed. We have seen people raising flags of Red book, disappear overnight. The world has showered flowers of admiration on Carl Marks, as the father of communism, Today we can see the gillit disappear from the same communism. Same way, the downfall of socialism and Sarvodayaism can also be seen. According to me, the main reason for the failure of all the administrations was that they had no connection with the human nature. Communism thought of considering people equal in economic and social fields. The thought of leading industry, intelligence, labours, art, literature, with a single stick was against the human nature. Man always tries to appear better than others. That is normal human nature. The man has superiority complex, in the matter of life style, social, economic or political status etc. Communism tried to control that complex, therefore it failed. Socialism and Sarvodayism tried to establish administration, with the idea that the man is always good or the man should be good but the result was not as expected because it did not match with the human nature.

It is necessary to think quietly about democratic governance

It is necessary to consider quietly whether the people are in delusion or not against the administrations of many such kinds in the name of democracy. It is very essential to think of human nature while considering the administration of any kind. Basically the man struggles to get supremacy over others in every field. Hence the ideology of equality in all the fields of economic, social, political and industrial may not match with the human nature. Instead, it is necessary to think about such state administration in which such distances are as less as possible. Any state administration depends upon the idea that man is always good or man remains good or man should be good,
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 23

will surely fail. Power is always bad. It makes the man corrupt. Hence the power should be minimised as much as possible. Power should be in the hands of minimum possible people. Thus, decentralization of elements controlling such hands should be made, not of power. Today, the groups of political party Inrellectuals, industrialists, corporate world, bureaucrats capitalists, middle men; mafia groups etc. squeeze democracy according to their interest. Finally all these groups hold monarchy type psychology. Therefore such kind of democracy does not differ from monarchy or dictatorship. The revolutions taken place in the world are because of big economic inequality among men and in which the rich were sacrified first and poor also could not be saved. I feel that there is no enemy like poverty and there is no punishment like poverty. Therefore, there is least possibility of sustaining the illusion of the people about the present election based democracy. There will not be any alternative adminisration system available for survival of the people, when their illusion will break sooner or later. It has become very essential to search for the new state governance system suitable to human nature and beneficial to the interests and happiness of most of the people and I am sure that only Gandhiji can be our guide. A writer can keep his yacht, an actor can ask for two crores, an anchor can ask for fifteen crores, a pop singer can live in a fort of crores of rupees, a boxer can be the owner of billions, an industrialist can be the owner of thousands of crores, a politician can take bribe of 200 to 500 crores, salaried people getting more than thirty thousand salary may be competent to fight or observe strike for more salary. Only 10 to 20 % people can get these benefits in democracy, while in monarchy people do not get such benefits, and therefore, 10 to 20 % people do not get tired singing the songs of democracy. On the other side, crores of people who do not get a single bread are not in a position to understand or even
24 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

to ask for their rights. Some other percent people get benefit in the name of globalization. The world bank also accepted that there is a yawning gap between the poor and the rich due to globlization. The poor do get Opportunity, Safety and rights. The millennium meeting of UNO also has concluded that it is necessary to do that each and every man should get the fruits of globalization equally. The state administration in which 80 % of the people live lowest level of life and only 20 % take haphazard benefits, how can we call that state administration the best? And how can that be permanent? In such a situation it is not surprising if the terrorists and mafias run parallel governments. Thus, minimizing the importance of todays political governance, partyless political governance should be arranged. If it does not formed speedily, it can bring serious consequences. The thinkers of the world now have started thinking about the same. Gandhi should also be specifically remembered. It takes centuries to born a man of an era, like Gandhiji. Therefore, I desire to search such political governance system as told by Ghandhiji and Jayprakashji, under the guidance of Gandhiji establishing him in my heart as my guide against todays dirty and indecent political governance. Our main enigma is : should we bring cities to the villages or villages to the cities ? Do we need to bring happiness from, upper level to lower level? Or from lower level to upper level? And if, Gandhiji were alive today, would he have stuck to Hind Swaraj or he would have written another Swatantra Bharat? We have to find the answers of these questions. Today Gandhiji is not amongst us, and therefore, to carry on Gandhijis ideas, there may not be any hero available, then only Gandhiji can be our guide in this matter as Gandhiji had presented so many ideas throughout his life that we can read Gandhiji between the lines. If we are not alert, in the present democracy, the duration
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 25

of power of any president, prime minister, chancellor or chief of any country, will hardly be fifty years. Still, all politicians should not be written off. It is not that all the reporters have lapsed their duties. It is still not that all writers and thinkers are not unhappy. Devotees of Gandhi who wish to spread Gandhian thoughts, do not afford to keep mum. They should come out. In our India, Gandhiji left so many other Gandhis, the followers of Gandhiji. People like Ram Manohar Lohia, Acharya Krupalani, Sucheta Krupalani, S.M. Joshi, Achyut patvardhan, Acharya Narendra Dev, Madhu Limaye, Indulal Yagnik, Gore, Raj Gopalachari, Prafulla Ghosh, T. Prakasham, Pandit Din Dayal Upadhyay, Shyama Prasad Mukharji, Dange, Bhailalbhai Patel, H.M Patel, B.K Majmudar, Bhogilal Gandhi, Babubhai Patel, Bhaidas Parikh, Makarand Desai, Dr. Vasant Parikh, Chimanlal Shukla, Maniben Patel, Babubhai Vasanwala, Dr. P.C. Doshi, Rusi contractor, M.C. Chagla, Hiren Mukharji, Pilu modi, Mahavir Tyagi, etc., more over, I specially remember Shri V.P. Sinh also. They all sacrified their lives on Gandhiji's one word. So many other such names have been noted in my mind. But, in fact, all those patriots having willingness to sacrifice did not get time to think over the matter of partyless governance. During those days, they did not fathom the dangers of political governance of electing administrators through election instead of monarchy. As a result, all those Gandhi devotees were like the light houses of the country, became martyrs in parliamentary political administration. The world would had been different, if Gandhiji would have thought little more about his political agenda that Happiness of lower class and the poor is only my truth and my God or about partyless democratic arrangement of Jay Prakashji. Should it mean that there is nobody to work like Gandhiji in Bharat today? I think that still there are so many politicians in and outside powers who feel pains of the people. They are such that they can change the history of
26 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

democracy. If they keep themselves away from todays useless (failure) election based democracy, they can surely do that work. If all such gentlemen thinking liberally keeping their heart opened, keeping all to gether and being impartial, work together, they can be helpful in new political governance. So many sincere Gandhi devotees and those who believed in Gandhian philosophy, understanding, between lines Gandhiji, do if he were alive they can surely find the political arrangement consistent with Gandhis thought. There are so many people in Gujarat today also, who believe in Gandhiji and there are not less all over the country. They are all silent. They should open their mouth. I am of 84. For last 64 years, I make conversation with Gandhiji and Harilal 1.5 times wiser Gandhiji, keeping them in my heart. Thus, at the end of the dialogue, Gandhiji in new form as I have seen since 64 years has given me much guidance regarding partyless political governance. In fact, I have not raised my identity to direct people towards my thoughts. I had not that much knowledge or skill. Moreover, I have no such feeling that I did this and I am doing this. Listening to my speech only, above mentioned people may come forward, or any person or group of persons from India or from all over the world may come forward and discuss with me about my ideas, making modification and addition and carry forward with that hope I would like to share my ideas with all of you. This much trouble I have taken, only because I have gone through the expressed views of at least 25-30 great Journalists, thinkers and historians from whole world, besides Gandhiji and Jayprakashji, where they have said unanimously that there will not be any scope of the survival of the mankind if we do not find a positive alternative of the present democratic system. Writing this, I have considered Gandhiji as a great revolutionery of the last 2000 years. I will always try to give
This is the matter of the year 2010. Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 27

a befitting draft of a revolutionery governance, putting Gandhiji and Harilal in my mind, though this is not a job of only a single person. So many others will have to come forward to find such a governance according to Gandhiji's wish. Here I want to clarify that I donot consider for a moment that whatever I have thought is the best. Not a single person can claim to understand the problems of the whole world or to find their solutions - not even Gandhiji. He was a great man, so he could think of so many problems and could act accordingly, but when he is not alive, then... Gandhiji believed parliament as a prostitute but he declared that due to lack of time, we will have to continue with the electoral parliamentary system for time being. Just like that, 12 years ago, when I passed 75 years, I gave a blue print of 'How a good government should be ?' believing then, that the task is almost impossible but with an only idea of achieving welfare of a common man through present governing system. I also tried to increse its effect by giving '65 suggestions for constitutional Reforms'. I published both booklets, not only in Gujarati, but in Hindi, Marathi and English also. Both booklets were and are certainly most helpful in improving the electoral democratic system. 10-12 suggestions for constitutional reforms which NDA government accepted, were all from my booklets. Not only that, those two reforms accepted by election commision, were from my books only. Still, these systems in all over world, are in precarious condition.

When about 250 ministers were discharged from their duties, reporters said that there would not only any addition in the ministry because it was accepted that number of ministers can not be more than 15% of the elected members. At that time, nobody had any idea that the afore said law which NDA Govt. accepted, was originally from my booklet, '65 Suggestions of constitutional Reforms'. When that happened, only a newspaper 'Sandesh' (Gujarati Daily) mentioned about my two books in detail, providing almost two full columns.
28 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

At the age of 82, I again started thinking in the direction of how Gandhiji, if he were alive, would have thought of partyless Governance of which I had in mind since 62 years. At my age of 84, I very clearly can visualise it. I want to write about it in the future but here, I only want to say, why partyless governance is necessary and only Gandhiji can be our guide. The corrupt, the cunning and the liars, who have emerged from the prematured political governance, rule over us like terrorists. They make us toil hard, fill their pockets with money earned of our sweat, blood and labour. They enjoy cream and starve us, keep us unemployed, without education and bind us with one or other law. They make us fight with eachother. They keep us in such a condition where we can hardly maintain our family. They give us guns so that we kill one another. When we die, they instigate our families by declaring us 'Martyrs' and then search for other 'Martyrs', forgetting us. In a recent report, it is said that our ancestral parents Eve and Adam were born about two lac years ago. Their blood after 2 lac years, had come in 700 crore people today, so whom we kill are our own brotherens. If we donot accept that, then also these 700 crore residents of the earth are related with one another as brothers. Thousands of years ago small groups of tribal humanbeings lived separately away from one another. They came nearer as they grew, started physical relations and tied up and became one huge mankind. We donot realise that we are all killers, killing our own brothers and we are not martyrs. We do not even realise that we are only used for paultry salary to maintain ourselves for powergreedy leaders, war is nothing but an excuse to maintain their dominance and power. In democracy, this is our helplessness. In so many countries, thousands of youths rush in the recruitment camps of police and Military, only because they have no other alternative to feed their families. They know that they may be killed in such a service but they have
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 29

only solace that their family will get 5-7 lacs of Dollars, Euros or Rupees, if they die. There is no martyrdom in it, only helplessness of earning livelihood of pitiable poors, that is created by power-greedy leaders.

What thinkers and poets say ?

Ezra Pound, a great poet of America believed that democratic Govt. of America is a Govt. of Madcaps. He used to say that first and second world wars were created by the so called democratic governments of England and America. Due to their hunger of money, they led all countries of the world towards world war. Ezra Pound also advocated for smaller countries. French literary Balzac believed that crimes are hidden behind every rich man. Nobody can become number one rich without doing small or big inhumane activity. Sir Winston Churchill said that we will have to continue with the present worthless political system of so called democracy, until we find a new political system of governance. In context of materialistic pleasures that were to come with physiological research and investigations, he said that coming generations will have physical amenities beyond their imaginations but they will have to mortgage their mental peace against their prices. In all these only Gandhian thought is reflected, so I call Gandhiji as firstever revolutionery leader in last two thousand years and he only can help us in the task of Human-upliftment. Hence, I say, without wasting time all Gandhians like me and all Sarvodayees promoting his thoughts, good powerful politicians, Social workers, thinkers, writers and journalists should start finding a partyless political system based on the thoughts of Gandhiji. Anyone, who can find such a system, will be remembered as a 'Man of History.' In such a system, nobody will be big or small, nobody will remain hungry or thirsty, no body will remain poor or uneducated, where political power will not be in the hands
30 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

of any one or five to fifty persons, where power will not become terrorist or will not allow anybody from us to become a terrorist, where there will not be any treachery, enmity or violence. I have started to find such a system. I will come again before you, when I will be able give its draft and then we all will discuss it in detail.

How is our present circumstances and those of the world ?

In almost all countries where there is socalled democracy including India, only 8-10 families rule. In so many countries, heirs of only one family enjoy power. These families believe the whole country as their owned estate and make laws in their interests and take decisions they like. In democracy, people rule and keep some executors, electing them, after collecting money of their own sweat and blood and hire them only to protect them and for proper management of their money so that they can spend maximum possible amount for education, health, amenities and economic stability of the poors, have-nots, needy, untouchables, children and women and some less for somewhat happy people, so that they all can develope their own personilities. They also tell them to give preferance to handy capped, mentally weak and retarded people. People pay those elected administrators (MP - MLA etc) to do these jobs but these paid servants whom people have elected and have engaged with handsome salaries, try to dominate, so in the present democracy all over world, servants become masters and actual masters become slaves. Gandhiji could realise that and instead of accepting electoral parliamentary system, he advocated that as the Britishers go, only labourers working in factories and the farmers working in farms, should rule the country. Not only that, he even said, 'Happiness of the poors and untouchables is my God. I want to find that governance that garrenties happiness of downtroddens and poor. If I can not find that in this birth, then I will find it in next birth, if not in the next birth, then
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 31

in the birth after that. For that if I have to give my life, then I am prepared to give.' He already gave his life and we all devotees, some good and honest politicians, thinkers, journalists and social wellwishers have to propiciate him by finding a governance as he wished, so that 90% poors, downtroddens, untouchables and Blacks of the whole world can live happily. About democracy, he said that present silence is only superficial and by keeping this mum, we all have become impotents, cowards and timids. He then gave a guideline also. 'I warn you all who want Swaraj, that Bhils (aboriginals), Pindhharas (robbers), the Rich and the Thugs (Rogues) are all our brotherens. It is our job to win them. You will not find your goal, if you are afraid of your own brothers.' So I say that these terrorists, Naxellites or Maoiests are in fact our own brothers, who can become content with the smallest happiness and they only emerged from the misdeeds of the leaders whom we have elected to govern but instead they filled their own pockets and starved the poors. Thus we only create them and kill them. Gandhiji also said that we do not know those people about whom we always talk about and they do not know us. This means we have to go to the poors to find truth of democracy. A word - 'Partyless Democracy' did not struck to Gandhiji. Afterwards Jayprakashji used those words. Today powergreedy, shameless politicians of the whole world, have started marketing of democracy, like fake ads of soaps and shampooes, filling the pockets of media. They have made democracy a selling item by appointing marketing managers and by hiring ad agencies, so that their rule may continue generation after generation and they continue filling their pockets. They have adopted this new patern of democracymanagement started from America. Most of the politicians are not patriots. They are very short sighted. They never can think of far away things. Their
32 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

opinions change now and then. They can say or do quite contrary to what they said or did before. Politicians are not trustworthy. Outwardly they try to look honourable but they are not reputable. The practice of rendering power hereditarary to a certain family or to some families, in any democracy becomes a cause of destruction of democracy. because the powergreedy politicians create two opposite groups of poor and the rich. Revolutions everywhere in the world are due to the strong economical inequalities. Rich people are fired first and then the poor also could not be saved.

How Human-upliftment is Possible ?

When we think about Human-upliftment, then that includes politics, social and educational managements and humane approach also. It can be said that Radical and Total human-upliftment is achieved only when Radical Humanity emerges from all human-beings. It can be realised that peace in the world is not possible till human-upliftment is not achieved. That means that if people of any country themselves try to think of happiness for themselves only, then there is an obstruction in the path of peace in the world. Any one who wants to live happily, he will have to think about happiness of the near ones and of the people living far away. We have to think about what saints and thinkers like Budhdh, Mahavir, Ruskin, Tolstoy, Dostoiski, Thouro, Socratis, Plato, Aristotal etc said or preached. I think, we have put Gandhiji formost of all and so he is my guide in context of Humanupliftment. A greatest devotee of Gandhiji was his own son Harilal. He was much impressed with Gandhiji's activities at 'Tolstoy Farm' in S. Africa. He constantly took interest in awakening of people by arranging processions and series of meetings to promote Gandhian thoughts. Gandhiji had much expectations from him. He had full faith that only Harilal would be able to promote his task. Their thoughts co-insided,
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 33
G.M.G.3

Both loved eachother but a dispute took place between them about sending Harilal to England. It was Gandhiji's mistake and Harilal was also at fault. Only because of their dispute, a most able son was wasted who could have promoted Gandhi's task most successfully. They both loved eachother very much and Harilal asked to forgive him many times. I have read them between the lines. Only Harilal introduced to me a 'Real Gandhi' by sitting in my imaginations. That's why, Gandhiji is my guide and I call Harilal as 'Wiser Gandhi'. In fact, Harilal inspired me to a new governance instead of present parliamentory democracy. We have given so many awards for peace. We should think about why there is so much unrest where we have to distribute such 'Awards for Peace' in the world. Gandhiji once said, 'I will ask big industrialists to run their industries as trustees by taking remunerations as per their rights. If they disagree, I will ask government to take away their industries legally and run them.' This is enough to conclude that if he were alive, how Gandhiji would have taken ' 'U-turn', putting his principle of 'Pure means' aside. Gandhiji's vision was : 'Lesser Power, More democracy.' He also said, remembering Thoreaw, 'Government which rules lesser, is a better government and which does not rule at all, is the best.' It is a best example of human freedom where everyone becomes lesser and lesser dependent upon government and becomes more and more upon himself, The basic goal of 'Hind-Swaraj' is an imagination of a powerless society. Though, nobody can say, when the state organizations will be dissolved completely and the goal of powerless society looks attractive in imaginations only, we can accept that 'lesser the power of state is more beneficial to the democracy'. If we believe in Gandhiji's ideal of nonviolent democracy, then we should start now.' Our inclination should be to limit the power of state as much as possible and I am sure, construction of power of state will be beneficial for the democracy.

Why only Radical world-Humanism can save us ?

Before independence, thoughts of Gandhiji were developed owing to social, political and economical circumstances prevailing then. After independence, the reciprocations with the rest of world grew much quickly. The scientific inventions changed the patern of thoughts of human life. With the development of mankind, different groups began to come closer, that resulted into small or big confrontations of life-styles or religions with differences of thoughts and behaviours. Various groups started to distrust each other, claiming their religion real and best, that resulted into extrimities, fundamentalism and enmity. People of different religions not with the exception of Hindu religion, started to fight for their own happiness and supremacy. Smaller frictions developed into big wars. In fact, that created extreme fundamentalism and enmity amongst eachother and religions that were only for human progress with peace and happiness, became the causes of their destructions and disruptions. Gandhiji saw a dream of 'Radical Humanism' only to escape from distructions and disruptions. May be, some found his inclination towards Hindu religion, more, but that may be due his belief that Hindu culture is somewhat better than others. It was not that, he did not see so many evils that had contaminated Hindu religion but he never accepted them. His search of truth and non-violence was, infact a strength or obligation of Hindu culture, not of extreme Hindu fundamentalism. We have to surmise his inclination towards Hindu culture, in that context, not as fundamental staunch Hindu. So many Hindus and others, not evaluating Gandhiji in that context, did much injustice to him. Coming to the original point, religion means duty and duty means life living with rules of harmony, peace and happiness. Truely, that was Gandhiji's truth and his God. Now the world has become smaller. World has come into our bedroom. Human life is rushing towards a lifestyle of advanced thoughts and scietific inventions different from that of old times. Human exlistance
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 35

may come in great dangers, if we do not progress towards universal humanism developed from the researches of old civilizations, cultures and religions. Gandhiji could realise that, so he started search of universal humanism and that was his only truth. We will have to find unfailing solutions of all these into a partyless governance. In Gandhiji's opinion, the world humanism meant each and every person should have total individual freedom, everyone should get equal and total opportunity to develope, he should get freedom of speech that lead him towards his happiness, every child, old, man, woman, handicated or person having lesser talent should got a surety of happy life, everybody should get equal rights of education and health and everyone should get quick justice with the help of strong laws, when his freedom or his rights come under any danger or he gets any injustice. We will have to provide an overall draft of such Gandhian thoughts. Gandhiji believed that parliamentary or electoral democracy is incomplete and a total failure.

When total Radical Humanism is possible ?

Jay Prakashji who learnt Gandhiji very studiously said, 'Society needs a total change. It should be changed and that is the most difficult task. There is a series of unbroken chain of forsighted leaders like shree Aurobindo and Vinobaji, from the very beginning. All of them have tried to change human-beings. Still he is not that much changed or not in that much character, to be able to create a new happy society. As everyman goes on getting education with newer technics and vistas and as he goes on improving and shapping himself, there should be a change, right from the base in the present political, economical and educational structures. Our political, economical and educational policies and our social customs should grow, in such a fashion that they are able to form a new, live accordence between an individual and a society. This should go on proliferating and that is most essential,
36 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

for 'Total Revolution'. Jayprakashji used that word. I call it, a slow process of Human-upliftment', because it can not be completed within 5-25 years. I have put four spans of 25 years. i.e. 100 years fo this 'Total Revolution'. Gandhiji wanted to find truths of happiness of the down-troddens and poors of India only. There India was only a symbol, but his truth mainly was to move towards 'Universal Humanism'. He believed that people of the whole world can achieve peace and happiness only by proportionate material pleasures and amenities connected by truth, non-violence and morality. He also believed that the offences of violence, Cheatincs, riots, wars, terrrorism, goondalism etc will never end till a single man of the world remains poor. His goal was the upliftment of whole mankind. I want to give a draft of a partyless governance instead of parliamentary democracy, which can be proved by reality and reason and which can be corelated with all thinkings, intectualities and lifestyles of the whole world. That draft, which Gandhiji would have given, if he were alive and what I have concluded finally in my mind, will go on imroving by adding and subtracting some points, till I submit it. When we got freedom, Sardar said, 'Nobody will die of starvation in free India. Grains will not be exported. Import of cloth will be stopped. Rulers of India will not use foreign language and will not rule sitting at, 7000 ft high Simla. Justice will not be difficult and costly.' That was Sardar's dream. Gandhiji also said, 'After Britishers leave, labourers working in factories and farmers working in field, will rule, in India.' Those dreams of both great men are broken today and the electoral parliamentary system is in its root. Whole world is delusioned by it. A wrong message has gone to people. Now the world could see its defects and is in search of a better political system. In that context, Sardar said that Gandhiji, who led the world in that direction, was from Gujarat and Gujarat will
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 37

be instrumental in carring forward Gandhiji's task. Influences of Gandhiji and Sardar are still remained somewhat in Gandhiji-devotees, in society, in politics and in the literaries and thinkers. Such gentlemen should come forward to play their part, as Sardar said. Today, when we accept the rights of happiness, peace, freedom, health, healthy family life and education of all people of the world, then we will have to find very urgently partyless government advocated by Gandhiji and Jayprakashji, only to save this world from destruction by atombombs. I have no doubt about it. This world today, is not worth living because of bread-riots, communal riots, terrorism, naxalism, capitalism and powergreed. So to attain our goal of 'free world', we have nobody except Gandhiji to help us. In this mission, we have to accept Gandhiji as our guide, In this mission, there will not be any agitation of revolution, but only non-violence, love, trust, compassion and mercy. My apeal to Gujarat to come forward as Sardar forcasted.

Is Present Governance Democratic ?

Whom people elect, putting faith and give powers to rule and protect the public, if those leaders are not able to protect themselves, how they will be able to protect us and the country ? They donot trust their own voters. They keep commandoes to protect themselves. They only can go out with the help of gunmen in a caravan of 8-10 cars. They only travel by planes. They live in vast bunglows of 10-15 rooms. They keep precious sofas of 8-9 lacs and they spent 20-25 lacs for meager decorations. They relish dishes of 5-10 thousand for ruppes in a 5-6-7 star hotels. They fill their houses with the money of our own blood and sweat making millions as blackmoney, while we have to feed only in 25 rupees. Abraham Lincoln said that democracy is a government which is of the people, for the people and run by the people. The whole world had accepted that formula of democracy.
38 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

Even Supreme Court opined that ministers, MPs and MLAs are only servants of the government and people are their masters. Ministers whom we have elected, come pompusfully in Flag-hoisting ceremonies on 15th August. Hundreads of commandoes stand in a line only to protect them on the road. They give lectures from protected cabins and some big celebrities who are their spoons and multimilioners give ovation by clapping and there is no room for the real masters who pay them with their money of sweat and blood. Not a single chair is found in such festive ceremonies. We cannot find a single common man among those crowd, We find him only standing outside, with hands in his empty pockets. Our own servants whom we have elected, selected and whom we pay money of our own, do not trust us. They prohibit us even to stand on their path from where they want to pass. Supreme Court said that all roads are of the people and meant for the people. No government can close them but our servants do not care for the supreme court also. They closed parking of metrostations two days and, even closed metrostations also. Planes flights are stopped for two hours, put thousands of soldiers in the city for their security. Not even that, they instole CCTV cameras everywhere and spent our money. We do not get ashamed in allowing them to rule over us with our money. This is only symbolic. It is continued from the very beginning. Such circumstances are created by such democrates in the whole world. President Obama who keeps big photo of Gandhiji in his office, marched a rally of 1600 crores, from Lincoln Memorial to Washington, even before taking auth, remembering Gandhiji. Next day in authceremony, he spent 800 crores. Irony is that, he advised thrifting in the hour of recession, in the same ceremony. We are not able to understand this truth because of the brain washing of the people of the understand this truth because of the brain washing of the people of the whole world, in
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 39

the name of democracy. We have become clappers only, clapping over such dramas of multimillioner politicians and celebrities. If we are not alerted in time, then our self respect and freedom will become dreams. Gandhiji wanted a lifespan of 125 years, only for finding and executing a formula of self respect and freedom. He resigned from the Congress, when he was 64 years. He started thinking about it and he could visualise somewhat, when he was murdered. I request all devotees of Gandhiji to come forward to further his task. We have to propeciate his thoughts. He lastly thought of democracy whose formula Lincoln gave and proceed on the way of world-humanism. Let us all Gandhians and the people join in saving the world from destruction. Gandhiji was in India who was always alert and tried to guide in the hour of need, without thinking of the results. We lost him. Let us all come forward and try to revive Gandhiji and keep the common man rest assured that something slow but concrete process of finding peace and happiness of the people has started, where there are no violence, no distrust, where nobody is big or small and verybody is bent on promoting that task of Gandhiji, forgetting past. The enmities, wars, corruptions and terrorism will increse more and more, if we allow ourselves to be exploited, believing the development of the cities and the rich as true development. If we are able to understand the pains of starvation of 125 crores of people of the world, if we feel for the 350 crores half-starving, if we want to stop calamities like murderous assaults, wars, rapes, child-labour, terrorism, naxalism or Maoism, if we want to dissolve all such calamities, if we want to find new governance for us and for the comming generations, then we have very little time to find such a system. So many good people are there, in the world, they are
40 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

keeping mum. So many wise learned people, so many good journalists, so many thinkers, authers, sensitive people, intellectuals, so many who are unhappy seeing others unhappy - they are all keeping mum and go on keeping mum, while downtroddens, poors, starved and misearables, oppressed, have-nots, illiterates, people having less talent, children, women, aged and handicapped - all look hopefully towards capable men and when they do not find any reaction, sigh finding, no body listening. In such circumstances, we weak people are surely to be destroyed, but when we weak people destroy, whole mankind of the world will also destroy. Write my words - if all of us keep mum, the destiny of all dumb people will be the same. I request all devotees of Gandhiji here and abroad, good politicians, socialists, writers, thinkers, all good people to be second Gandhi, Lincoln, Martin Luther king or a new angel of the world. I do not know, why anyone of lacs of people, who live like Gandhiji in their private lives, does not come forward. So, this Magan Mon's Nanio, requests very earnestly that time is getting short. Let us come out in the open and let us spread light of Gandhian thoughts and find out a partyless democracy advocated by Gandhiji and Jayprakashiji. Whatever is done, can not be undone. There is no meaning in becoming unhappy. Only present is in our hands. We can only try that past does not repeat. Also future is in our hands. We can improve it. Likewise we can go to worldhumanism, learning lessons from the past. So come, let us revive Gandhiji and let us change minds of people via nonviolence from violent revolutions. Let us make world worthliving, relieving it from hatred and enmity, and spread a new thought of world-humanism. Let us pay homage to Gandhiji by finding a governance for freedom, happiness and peace for 700 crores of people, in fulfilling Gandhiji's dream.

Vinobaji gave a name of 'Sarvodaya' to Gandhian thoughts. He proceeded his work under that name. Though he could not finish his mission, so he said that if we do not implement the thought of 'Sarvodaya', then it will be forgotten in 50 years, but here Kishorbhai and his colligues are earnestly attached with 'Sarvodaya'. I have a strong faith that our 'Sarvodayee-yantra' will proceed, may be slowly but surely. You are all Gandhi-devotees and believers of 'Sarvodaya', also competent listeners, therefore, I have expressed my agony to share with you, considering myself as one of the responsible individuals for these circumstances. Like this, whenever I find whole draft of partyless democratic governance, I will present myself to discuss in detail about how and why, all of us of the whole world can enjoy total freedom, through non-violence, truth, compassion and mercy, instead of violence, lies, enmity and can rule our own government by ourselves. We will all try to modify it, making it sound during that discussion. Finally, I am very much pleased in meeting you all and finding that you are all companions. I have deeply felt that. Still I beg for parden for any mistake, I may have commited. With that, I end my talk. Thank you all.

(2) If you get power to be disappeare like Mr. India ? Then, every night I would go and frighten those corrupt and hypocrite people so much that they would be forced to give up corruption. (3) What is your idea to pass a holiday ? As such, on holiday I do not like to pass a day without any activity. According to me activities specially like writing, publication, agriculture and to be connected with them, give me pleasure of a holiday. (4) What is money meant to you ? Money gives us happiness as well as unhappiness also. If money is kept stored it becomes poison and if it is spent sensibly it becomes nectar. If we get double or treble money than our necessity, it gives us happiness but when you become hungry of money then it harasses you. (5) You did what you wanted to do ? Yes, I am the son of a farmer of the village. For sixty years I have kept Gandhiji and wiser Gandhi Harilal in my mind. At the age of 20, I wrote the first article of politics in Gujarat Mitra. When Jayprakashji was to visit Navsari, I had written him an open letter. At that time Shri Dixit, published the whole letter in two columns with a preamble in remaining five columns. (in those days dailies were of seven columns). Thereafter, I wrote about fifteen books on politics. Now I am going to publish seven books at a time, on todays explosive condition of the world. I have written about ten thousand pages on computer. The partyless democratic governance about which Gandhiji and Jayprakashji thought, is revived by me. It was my goal and it is about to be published. (6) What you expect essential in relation ? I connect relation with feelings; relation with mother, with friends, with the members of the family, with city, birth place, and the country, but in all relations, feelings and desire of happiness of others is important to me.

(7) Which is that bad habit would to like to quit ? As such, there are many bad habits I would like to give up but mainly whenever I think of a man and I find his fault, I gaze within and I find so many faults in me that I believe that man is greater than me. (8) What is dressing to you and how do you select your clothes ? I am little bit careless in clothes. I do not believe in, not to wear good clothes, but as mainly, through out my life, I am connected with the afflictions of the poors, needy, havenots children and the women. I wrote about more than fifty books, mainly I have written about them, because I lived like them only, therefore, I rarely wear costly clothes. (9) Which person of history would you like to meet ? For me, Gandhiji is my guide. To me, In last two thousand years, Gandhiji is a greater revolutionery than Buddha, Mahavir, Lenin, Tolstoy, Ruskin etc. and many saints and thinkers. I always feel that it is necessary to set free Gandhiji from Hind Swaraj and Satya no prayogo. (10) If there are no women ? It is only possible if science make such invention, we have to wait till then. (11) Which element of man attracts you ? What is of man ? What is of woman ? Today in both of these, any element which can attract me, is seldom seen. (12) Which filmy hero do you like ? Once the same question was asked to me and I had said, Kadarkhan. But I dislike the present celebrities. (13) When you can not prevent anger ? Generally I am not angry, but having big staff and big house, sometimes I have to pretend to be angry. (14) Which is the place, without going there life feels incompete ? I do not have any fascination of any place. Wherever I am, I live with pleasure.
Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment / 45

(15) What is a home according to you ? All know that a house does not mean four walls. A home is made by the members of the house. Home is only possible when you forget and forgive every one and only love all that is home. (16) Whom would you like to be ? I like very much to be Savyasachi of Sharadbabu. Generally, I try to be the same. (17) How do you understand death ? I am never afraid of death. But I always think that till I can do something good for even a single person, I would like to live even if my body gives me pain or trouble, but when I will be unable to do any thing, I would like to commit suicide. 46 / Gandhi : My Guide in the perspective of Human upliftment

Seven books by Shri Nanubhai Naik for the partyless governance as said by Gandhiji and Jay Prakashji
(1) Gandhi : My Guide In The Perspective Of Human Upliftment : When the elections to elect government started, people believed that the real democracy had commenced now. But Gandhiji himself then called the parliament a prostitute, way back in 1909. Not only that, he added that, it is barren also, because it gives no fruit. He said, My truth is the happiness of downtroddens and poor. That is only my God. Thereafter, he started the search for it. For human upliftment, he had thought to search such governance which can give the people of India the freedom in true sense. He also thought that such governance starting from India can reach to the freedom of the world, i.e. : Global Democracy. The author is writing books on this subject. This book is the first in the series. (Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Enlish Rs. 25)

Abraham Lincoln ? If Gandhiji would have been alive, how he would have given the description of such governance? If Gandhiji were alive today, in what way he would have taken U turn? How much he is relevant and how much irrelevant ? The writer has described all these in Gandhian way showing his mistakes and that too reading Gandhiji between the lines in a Man of revolution. (Will be published within four-five months)

Shri Nanubhai Naik Introduction

Native Village : Bhandut, Tal.Olpad, Dist. : Surat Date of Birth : 10-5-1927 Shri Chandrakant Bakshi to whom he has described as his true well wisher and great friend in Aabhang that the creator of your poetry collections, Shri NanubhaiNayak holds good interest in literature also. His initial novels Pran Jago re and Nari Narnu Ramakdu three editions of which have already been published and in which the impression of pathetic sweet language of Sharadbabu is clearly experienced. Pran Jago re is a pathetic sweet creation of social life from Vapi to Tapi. The language and the symbols he arranged in Suratna Dhulia Maholla ma appear new and special through many ways. This social novel flowing with historical references has become very enjoyable because of its spoken words. This kind of novels is found very few in Gujarati. The renowned advocate of Mumbai Shri Chhelshankar Vyas was an old ascetic of literature and Journalism. As a senior friend of Shri Nanubhai Naik, he came to Surat to proceed the case admitted by Gujarat government against a short story Kutti of Shri Chandrakant Bakshi, at that time he read the novel Tofan by Shri Nanubhai Naik. His wife said, He has read very few Gujarati novels. Mainly he reads only English books but he read your Tofan novel completely, not only that but he liked it so much that he made many remarks also while reading it. Later he also discussed about the language and symbols of Tofan, specially about the glittering thoughts presented in the same. Oh India written in 1971 is his first novel of Gujarat, discussing about politics. This novel already has been published in Marathi. Renowned writer and journalist Shri Chandrakant Bakshi has admired this novel very much. And specially at the time of visit of Surat, the governor of that

time stood in the lift till the red carpet being spread and congratulated for the remark made by the writer. Besides these his many other novels, collections of satirical articles, collections of short stories etc. have been published. He has written satirical poems for years in satirical Sandesh daily with title Sanjay Vani in Pratap daily, BholaBhagat Na Bhakhela in Chet Machhandar, Kavi Nang Kahe and in Nutan Bharat daily and Arunoday weekly Guru Ghantal Kahe titles. Those who ask for original plays, they should see his Mudita Balaram. - a worth seeing drama. From the remarkable folders sent by SahityaSangam every Diwali, his satirical poems are admired so much that every now and then Gujarat Samachar daily Sandesh daily and Milap, NayaMarg etc. many magazines have published them all. Sandesh daily had some times engaged space of three full columns for his poems. He has written more than two hundreds short stories, satirical articles etc. which already have been published in Prajabandhu, Chandani, NavChetan, Aaram, AkhandAnand, Savita, Kankavati, Padchhaya, Apsara, Chet Machhandar, Chitralekha, AbilGulal, Nutan Bharat, Arunodaya, Sarvodaya etc. magazines. Sabras a continued story of child literature was published in Jansatta by weekly periodicals. In the book named Aacharya Rajnish Kaye Marge he has made postmortem of conduct and thoughts of Rajanishji. He was invited to Surat for three days and during closed door meeting with him, had created a big controversy. He is associated with many social and cultural activities of Surat. He was the secretary of Narmad Sahitya Sabha for many years. Now he is the Vice President of Narmad Sahitya Sabha. He had been the member of Managing Committee of Sarvajanik Education Society, a renowned educational organization of Surat. He is the president of Surat Printing Press Association and Surat Commercial

Printers Society for many years. He was the welcome president of MudrakParishad held in Surat. He is the founder member of Gujarat Printers Federation and had been the president also. He is the established member of Gujarati Books Publishers Association. He is the pioneer of Gujarati and Marathi Pocket Books. Late AcharyaAtre making observations of Marathi Pocket Books of Sahitya Sangam in his Maratha daily for three weeks asked question that if a publisher sitting in Surat out of Maharashtra can publish such beautiful pocket books, only for Rs. 2.50 then what do the Marathi Publishers do ? He is running a big movement of book culture against T.V. Culture by offering cheap books to the people of Gujarat. He is trying sincerely to pay the obligation of Gujarati people and literary persons by publishing the creation of first category of literary persons in Gujarati at half value and publishing the same creation in Hindi, Marathi and English besides Gujarati. To give 23 books yearly worth Rs. 1800 at 70 % less value means only against Rs. 545 through home delivery, such a five years GranthYatra scheme was introduced. It has completed five years. It is the first experiment all over India to offer the books in five years worth Rs. 9000 against the payment of only Rs. 2725 through home delivery. The main purpose of this scheme is,the cultured Gujaratis can give legacy of library of best books to their family at ordinary investment only. There is no complete democracy anywhere in the world. Making such surprising statement, to save democracy, in How should be good government he has presented complete draft of good government, which has been published in Hindi, Marathi and English besides Gujarati. Many great leaders of India have admired the same. Same way, 65 corrections suggested by him to constitution reform tribunal its book named Suggestions for Constitution Amendments have been published in Hindi, Marathi and English besides

Gujarati, which were accepted by the president of constitution reform tribunal himself and he had instructed his steno to place important points in the meeting of the committee. Specially the matter of pleasure is such that the constitutional reforms tribunal had suggested amendments of 400 pages out of which the government and election commission accepted about 15 suggestions and all of them are from the books of Shri Nanubhai Naik.
