Project Title: SearchMyLoan (SML)

Project Domain: Mortgage Industry
Team Size: 8 (QA team)
Duration: April 2007 – December 2008
Platform: Java, JBoss and Oracle 10G
Project Details:
Searchmyloan.com is a Mortgage Search Engine for the US Mortgage Market that is
specifically designed to help loan officers quickly identify the right mortgage products.
This search platform allows searching an array of Lender Products as well as Live
Interest Rates applicable for the respective Loan Product.
Role:

Test Engineer
• I was also responsible for Manual Testing of the functionality of the application
and reporting and communicating defects if any. – Performing Manual Testing
and Tracking of the defects till closure/resolution

Test Analyst
• Documenting the Use Cases and Test Cases for the new features or
enhancements to the existing features - Maintenance of the Testing related
documentation generated.
• Decide the extent of the automation required for regression testing

GUI Designer
• Gathering the requirements from the client. – Requirement gathering
• Designing the new features as per the requirements. – Design Specifications.

1. Global Text Search ( April 2009)

Description: The aim of global text search was to make each and every field in the
database searchable. Global text search was implemented using Apache Lucene which is
a high-performance, full-featured text search engine library written entirely in Java.
Role: My role was to design a sample application for proof of concept of Global Text
Search and then test it. Designed and tested application of ‘Yellow Pages’

 2. Payment Manager ( March 2009)

Description: Payment Manager provides a structure through which the user can connect
to desired payment gateway and perform some common functions such as Make a
payment, Update Payment subscription, Cancel payment subscription and also refund
Payment Subscription. Credit-card and ACH transactions are being supported in this
solution.
Role: My role was to design a sample application for proof of concept of Global Text
Search and then test it. Designed and tested application of ‘Point of Sale’

3. ETL ( Jan 2009)

Description: The processes that enable companies to move data from multiple sources,
reformat and cleanse it, and load it into another database, a data mart or a data
warehouse for analysis, or on another operational system to support a business process.
Role: My role was to design a sample application for proof of concept of Global Text
Search and then test it. Designed and tested application of ‘Customer Service’
