put zeroes in the spaces count how many numbers are to the right of the decimals put the decimal that many spaces over, start counting from the right move the decimal all the way to the right in the first number move the decimal the same number of spaces in the second number the decimal in the answer should line up with the decimal in the second number

simplify

add the top numbers reduce if necessary multiply the top numbers multiply the bottom numbers reduce if necessary flip the second fraction multiply like normal

make the fraction as small as possible by finding numbers that go into both the top and the bottom separate into whole part and fraction part
