Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island Sunday Peace and Mercy for All - Living the Gospel of Hope
NAIDOC WEEK is a time when Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people celebrate their spirituality, identity, culture and survival. Many of them are still at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder. As a faithful people let us acknowledge they not only have a rightful place in Australian society but they have a uniquely important contribution to make that will enrich our lives, our nation and our Church. NB: You are invited to remain for a few minutes following Mass to view a PowerPoint Presentation re the above.
Movement Towards Justice: This Group, established in Ballarat to support people who have been affected because of abuse by Church personnel, is inviting contributions to a Quilt of Hope. If you wish to participate in this creation please contact the Parish Office. See Notice Board for more information.

St Josephs Pipe Organ Scholarship: Our students are giving a short concert at 5.30pm next Saturday evening (13th July) prior to the Vigil Mass to
demonstrate their progress to the parish. Please come and support them. St Vincent de Paul Appeal: A collection in aid of the work of the St Josephs Conference of the St Vincent de Paul Welfare Group will be conducted at Masses next weekend (13th/14th July). There are speakers at Masses this weekend. SJOG HOI Day: SJOG Auxiliary are conducting a HOI day at St Josephs Hall on Thursday, 11th July at 10.30am. $5.00 entrance, morning tea provided. Aniar: Local Celtic Band Aniar are launching their new CD Sunday, 14th July from 2pm to 4.30pm at Hammond Fellowship Centre, Anglican Church (Henna St) St Annes Purnim: The Ninth Anniversary, since commencing the Assembly of the Word, is being celebrated today (Sunday). Congratulations on this achievement and keeping the community together. Centenary (St Brigids Church, Crossley): Meeting at 2.00pm in Crossley Hall today (Sunday) to plan for the 2014 Centenary. The committee welcomes anybody interested in helping with planning, photos or memorabilia.
