SPC 203P, Method of Test for Determining Heat


Gain of Office Equipment Used in Buildings 1. PURPOSE: This standard prescribes methods of test to determine the range and average operating heat gains of electrical equipment for use in cooling load calculations. 2. SCOPE: This standard applies to plug load type electrical equipment used in buildings. Note: SPC 203 is especially interested in obtaining new members representing the Producer interest category.

A new official interpretation to the following standard is now available on the ASHRAE website at: http://www.ashrae.org/standards-interpretations.

ANSI/ASHRAE/IES STANDARD 90.1-2010, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings Interpretation 90.1-2010-18, dated June 24, 2013, refers to the requirements presented in ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1-2010, Sections 9.2.2.3, 9.4.1.2, 9.4.1.6, 9.4.3 and 9.6.2 relating to the requirements for a separate or independent lighting control device.
