Section 017000 - Execution and Closeout Requirements: Additional coordination requirements. Contractor shall provide the following: 1. Electrical power and metering, consisting of connection to existing facilities. 2. Water supply, consisting of connection to existing facilities. Provide and pay for all electrical power, lighting, water, heating and cooling, and ventilation required for construction purposes. New or existing permanent facilities shall not be used without a written express agreement issued by the Employer. All Utilities / Services required for Site works shall be provided by the Contractor. Utility services for Operation and Maintenance during Defects Liability Period will be provided by the Employer. Contractor shall provide, maintain, and pay for listed telecommunications services to Architect's field offices throughout duration of the Project including maintenance period. Provide equivalent equipment and connections for Owner's field office. Telecommunications services shall include: 1. Telephones. a. Dedicated Telephone Land Lines: 2 lines , Provide at least 5 extensions within the offices. b. Contractor shall pay for all installation charges, along with all calls within U.A.E. c. Telephone outlets should be placed in accordance with the floor plan provided by the Architect. 2. Internet Connections: Minimum of one; DSL modem (minimum 3G)or faster. 3. Email: Account/address reserved for project use. 4. Facsimile Service: Minimum of 1 dedicated fax machine/printer, with dedicated phone line. 5. Facsimile Service: Fax-to-email software on personal computer. Printer / Copier / Scanner (Color, A3 size).

1.05 TEMPORARY PLUMBING AND SANITARY FACILITIES A. B. C. Provide and maintain listed facilities and enclosures to Architect's field offices throughout duration of the Project including maintenance period. Provide equivalent equipment and connections for Owner's field offices. Sanitary facilities for Employer's and Architect's offices shall include, each: 1. Wash rooms 1 nos, each including 2 sets of Wash basin, mirrors, soap dish, towel rail, toilet roll holder, coat hook, wall mounted flexible pipe including nozzle, tray for toiletries below mirror. 2. Bathrooms 1 nos, each including fiber glass shower tray with shower curtain and rail. 3. Toilets 2 nos, each including western style W.C., toilet roll holder, towel rail, coat hook, wall mounted flexible pipe with nozzle. Sanitary facilities to Contractor's and Sub Contractor's site staff and workmen shall be one water closet for the use of each fifty employees, each size 1.00x1.50 m on plan, with an Asiatic or European WC complete with high level cistern and a tap for washing purposes, situated not more than 250 m distance from the works. In addition, facilities meeting with all the requirements of the Municipal and Health authorities shall be provided on Site on temporary basis as directed and approved by the Architect regarding number of facilities and locations on site. Provide all plumbing and sanitary fixtures from an approved manufacturer. Internal plumbing pipe work shall e copper tubing and waste piping shall be uPVC. Hot and cold both lines to be provided. Water heators shall be minimum 12 gallon capacity. Maintain daily in clean and sanitary condition. Facilities shall be provided with a continuous water supply and all W.C.s and waste water lines shall be connected to a temporary septic tank with a percolating pit through manholes or connected to the existing mains. Maintenance and disposal of sewage shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. Provide barriers to prevent unauthorized entry to construction areas, to prevent access to areas that could be hazardous to workers or the public, to allow for owner's use of site and to protect existing facilities and adjacent properties from damage from construction operations and demolition. Provide barricades and covered walkways required by governing authorities for public rights-of-way and for public access to existing building. Protect non-owned vehicular traffic, stored materials, site, and structures from damage. Provide ____ foot (2.0 m) high fence around construction site; equip with vehicular and pedestrian gates with locks. Provide security and facilities to protect Work, existing facilities, and Owner's operations from unauthorized entry, vandalism, or theft. Coordinate with Owner's security program. Coordinate access and haul routes with governing authorities and Owner. Provide and maintain access to fire hydrants, free of obstructions. Provide means of removing mud from vehicle wheels before entering streets. Designated existing on-site roads may be used for construction traffic.

Provide temporary parking areas to accommodate construction personnel. When site space is not adequate, provide additional off-site parking. Existing parking areas located at designated places may be used for construction parking. Provide shaded 2 parking spaces with signs showing titles and "Reserved" for Owner's use. Provide shaded 6 parking spaces with signs showing titles and "Reserved" for Architect's use. Provide Vehicles for Engineer's use as mentioned below; 1. 2 Nos. Class II, 4x2 wheel drive, engine capacity around 2.0 litres cars not more than 4 years old, Models such as; Kia Sportage, Suzuki Vitara, Nissan Qashqai, Toyota RAV4, Honda CRV. 2. Provide a fuel allowance of AED 500.00 per month to each vehicle as long as they are used by the Engineer. 3. All vehicles provided by the Contractor for the use of the Engineer shall be registered in the name of the Contracor in line with regulations of Abu Dhabi Traffic Department. Vehicles shall be reverted back to the Contractor after the release of the final Payment. Provide waste removal facilities and services as required to maintain the site in clean and orderly condition. Provide containers with lids. Remove trash from site periodically. If materials to be recycled or re-used on the project must be stored on-site, provide suitable non-combustible containers; locate containers holding flammable material outside the structure unless otherwise approved by the authorities having jurisdiction. Open free-fall chutes are not permitted. Terminate closed chutes into appropriate containers with lids. Provide project identification sign of design, construction, and location approved by Owner or Engineer. No other signs are allowed without Owner permission except those required by law. Office: Weathertight, with proper lighting, electrical outlets, heating, cooling equipment, and equipped with sturdy furniture, drawing rack and drawing display table. Provide space for Project meetings, with table and chairs to accommodate 10 persons. Provide separate office similarly equipped and furnished, for use of Owner. Provide full time office boy exclusively for Engineer's and Employer's offices. Locate offices a minimum distance of 30 feet (10 m) from existing and new structures. Office area of the Engineer shall be partitioned as follows with areas not less than what is shown; 1. Resident Engineer and Chief Engineer: 16 m2, 2. Meeting Hall: 20 m2, 3. Secretary / Document Controller: 5 m2, 4. Quantity Surveyor: 8 m2, 5. Inspectors: Common area but with 5 m2 for each, 6. Pantry: 3 m2, 7. Toilet: 6 m2 (One toilet for each 4 persons and part thereof), Furniture. Provide high quality brand new furniture, equipment, fittings and conveniences in offices for; 1. Employer, Resident Engineer and Chief Architect (each); a. 1 No. Double pedestal desk, b. 1 No. Side table,

1.13 CONSUMABLES FOR TEMPORARY EMPLOYER'S AND ENGINEER'S OFFICES A. B. C. D. E. F. A. Provide adequate capacity electricity, water connections and Air Conditioning without interruptions. Provide regular supply of office consumables such as; Stationary, tissue, Print cartridges, CD / DVD, Files ... etc. Provide adequate supply of potable water and water cooler to each Porta Cabin. Provide regular supply of adequate amounts of nominal refreshments such as; Bottled water, tea coffee and sugar. Provide regular supply of toilet and kitchen consumables such as; Soap, toilet papers, tissues. All of above shall be supplied for the entire duration of the Project. At end of construction, or at such times as the Engineer may direct, remove all temporary facilities and installations and make good to the Engineer's satisfaction and as required by the concerned authorities. Clean and repair damage caused by installation or use of temporary work. Restore existing facilities used during construction to original condition. Restore new permanent facilities used during construction to specified condition.
