Smoking is responsible for a large number of deaths every year across the world.

Its an addiction, which is extremely difficult to quit. This is why many smokers, despite being aware of its ill-effects, are not able to to kick the bad habit. Tobacco consumption in any form, be it cigarette smoking or gutka-chewing, is a part of daily life for many users. However, they ought to know what really goes on at the molecular level while smoking or chewing tobacco. The smoke that enters the lungs through the tobacco rod of a cigarette is made of tiny particles mixed with gases. One cigarette and one beedi contains about 4000 chemicals, 51 of which are carcinogenic.

Nicotine is an addictive agent that makes a person a slave to tobacco. Its a strong poisonous drug, the main ingredient found in insecticides or bug sprays. If taken in its purest form, just a drop of it can kill a person. Tar is the oily residue produced when tobacco passes through the filter of a cigarette. When a smoker inhales smoke, a lot of tar sticks to the lungs and blackens them. Another chemical in cigarettes is carbon monoxide - a very poisonous gas and this gas is found in the exhausts of a car. This interferes with our respiratory system and circulatory system (consisting of heart, arteries, and veins). Smoking is a silent killer be it in one form or the other. To add to it a lot of people are exposed to Passive Smoking which is even more harmful or equally bad for an individual. The initiative by the Government to ban smoking in public places was a good move and it is high time something similar is brought about with regards to consumption of Gutka or just Tobacco in the country. The Government needs to have more initiatives to make the public more aware of the harmful effects of Tobacco, just like we have the Ring the Bell Campaign, something similar should be highlighted. What is even more disgusting is the consumption of Tobacco and its misuse on public property. The Government should have stringent rules in order to keep the city clean and dirt free. Its BAD, we know that it creates a lot of health problems for people who consume it, although it is a high revenue earner for the govt, it should be allowed only in exceptional cases. It makes people addictive and finally takes their lives, this leads to personal, financial and physical issues among the person consuming it day in and day out. Its a small poison in itself, people consume it first and then it consumes the same people later. It takes a lot of lives every year and the count is ever-increasing.

Nicotine is a main substance in the cigarette that causes addiction, boredom, worrying, and it kills the body calluses by time. About 15% of carbon monoxide (poisonous gas) centralizes in the smokers blood and causes difficulties in breathing as well. It also causes stomach ulcers. Tar is another poisonous substance in the cigarette that causes the yellowish-brown color in the smokers' teeth and mostly in their lungs. About 70% of tar is accumulated in the lungs, causing serious diseases. There are also arsenic, cyanide, benzene, formaldehyde, methanol, acetylene, ammonia, lead, cadmium, carbon dioxide, chloroform, ethanol, car exhaust, and rat poisons and other substances

in the cigarette's contents. Cigarette smoking increases the risk of cancer in other organs as well like larynx cancer, esophageal cancer, oral cancer, stomach cancer, pancreas cancer and colorectal cancer.

India has two major obstacles in the way to progress i.e- corrupt government officials and criminals in politics. The two are so much hand in glove that it is impossible for an honest man to work without facing threats to his/her life

Now a days every individual wants to be rich, acquire as much wealth as possible in a short time. The actual goal of an individual ought to be happy and live happily with his family and only money can give comfort but not happiness. It leads to bride and corruption. A person who is not performing his duties and not performing is corrupt. India ranks 70th in the world in term of corruption but corruption is increasing day by day so in the future we will be in the better position in corruption just like we are in population. corruption is eating our country hopes and harming our harming our progress. After 60 years of independent our economic and social development is poor and not up to the mark like other countries. It is the biggest threat for our nation. In India corruption starts with politician, ministers. NGOs are in the field of sports. Politicians take bride because businessmen are giving it to them for getting benefits. Come elections money comes from business tycoons. Corruption is like cancer, can be controlled but not cured.
"Corruption has become virus in the present set up ... it is a serious challenge... but the Centre wants to accord constitutional status to the proposed Lokpal," Khursheed said. "People of the country have seen the movement for Lokpal in India ... we don't want cheap popularity ... the Sonia Gandhi led National Advisory Council has advocated for a strong Lokpal," he said addressing a function on the occasion of the birth anniverssry of former Bihar chief minister Srikrishna Singh. Referring to AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, he said "our leader says it is not a small matter to give constitutional right to Lokpal ... there are people who want to mislead the nation ... but we are irrevocably committed to making Lokpal a constitutional authority. "At the same time, I will say that Lokpal alone will not solve the issue of corruption ... even the judiciary has been against corruption for long ... the government is aware of it and taking steps."

Child labour is one of the challenging problems in India. The practice of engaging young children in various sectors of labour is evident. It is astonishing to note that there is staggering figure between 60 and 115 million working children in India perhaps the highest number in the world. It is poverty that draws a child to earn money to support the needs of his family. Though it is prevalent in most parts of the country, the problem is acute for the socioeconomically weaker states like UP, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Madhyapradesh and North-eastern states. Besides poverty, lack of education and accessible sources of credit forces poor parents to engage their children in child labour. India is forced to take up the challenge of providing basic amenities to these children. It is seen that more than 85 percent of child labour is in the countrys rural areas, working in agricultural activities, such as farming, livestock rearing, forestry and fisheries. Children also develop skills in certain traditional crafts. These children contribute greatly to the national income. The Government of India is keen to eradicate child labour. Indias unequivocal commitment to the cause of children is well expressed in constitutional provisions, legislations, policies and programmes. The Directive Principle of State Policy and Fundamental Rights reveal the commitment of the Government. Besides, India is also a party to the UN Declaration on the Rights of the child, 1959. India adopted the National Policy on children in 1974. India also ratified on December 2, 1992, the Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1990. This ratification implies that India will ensure wide awareness about issues relating to children. India is also a signatory to the World Development of Children. Child labour is a great socio-economic problem. Children essentially work to maintain the economic level of households, either in the form of work for wages, or help in household enterprises, or in household chores. In all the activities the basic objective is to provide the family financial support. In some cases, it has been found that a childs income accounted for between 34 and 37 per cent of the total income of the household. The policies and programmes of the government conform to its commitment which focuses on the eradication of child labour. Though enforcement is in existence, it has failed to be of much effort. Measures have to be initiated in a proper manner by the government in order to achieve the goal of eradication of child labour.
