EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
From this research study, we can know about people uses, their attitude towards Event management, perception towards the event industry. And, thus the organization can easily rectify its flaws or can modify its services. The project has been chosen to identify the popularity of event management companies. The purpose of this research is to acknowledge the acceptance level in suart. The study includes a detailed questionnaire about all the 7 Ps which are to be fi lled. The project is chosen as the event industry as it is a booming unit in India and especially in Surat . The event industry is a fast growing industry which has a growth rate of 6.5%. For the purpose of research data is gathered regarding the research work by two ways; primary data and secondary data. For research primary data is gathered through sample survey, as the primary data seems to be best alternative. For the purpose of my study, questionnaire method is used as data collection

instrument. For research, secondary data source is also used to collect information regarding event industry . For this purpose on the internet websites is referred. The survey is based on sample, this sample size will be in order to collect accurate information within minimum cost & time. In sample survey method, by suing questionnaire, data will be collected

Definition :

Event management is the application of project management to the creation and development of festivals, events and conferences.

Events management is the process beyond planning, executing and evaluating corporate, association, nonprofit, government and social events.

Event management involves studying the intricacies of the brand, identifying the target audience, devising the event concept, planning the logistics and coordinating the technical aspects before actually executing the modalities of the proposed event. Post-event analysis and ensuring a return on investment have become significant drivers for the event industry.

Events management requires strong organizational, budgeting and creative skills. Those who work in events management must be comfortable with interacting with all levels of individuals inside and outside of their organization.

Event management is the process by which an event is planned, prepared, and produced. As with any other form of management, it encompasses the assessment, definition, acquisition, allocation, direction, control, and analysis of time, finances, people, products, services, and other resources to achieve objectives. An event managers job is to oversee and arrange every aspect of an event, including researching, planning, organizing, implementing, controlling, and evaluating an events design, activities, and production.

Event industry:

Event Management is a multi-million dollar industry, growing rapidly, with mega shows and events hosted regularly. Surprisingly, there is no formalized research conducted to assess the growth of this industry. The industry includes fields such as the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions), conferences and seminars as well as live music and sporting events.

The logistical production and design development sides of the industry are paid less than the sales/sponsorship side, though some may say that these are two different industries. For large events and international roadshows, developing a design for an event is a knowledge intensive process that includes experience and expertise. People working in the event industry who have such specific knowledge are called event architects.

The event manager is the person who plans and executes the event. Event managers and their teams are often behind-the-scenes running the event. Event managers may also be involved in more than just the planning and execution of the event, but also brand building, marketing and communication strategy. The event manager is an expert at the creative, technical and logistical elements that help an event succeed. This includes event design, audio-visual production, scriptwriting, logistics, budgeting, negotiation and, of course, client service. It is a multi-dimensional profession.

An event architect is an event manager that becomes involved at the early initiation stages of the event. Specially for larger public events, at the initiation stage, the event architect needs to make crucial choices and decisions related to the creative concept and design of the event. In depth technical design knowledge and full understanding of how to communicate a companys message across a public are needed in order to make the event effective.

Product Launch Event Management

In the present day and age, there is much competition to be faced by every walk of life. One walk down the mall and one can see the amount of competition amongst companies to maximize buyers. And the fact is that there is always room for more. As competition means improving and improvising quality in order to maximize profits. Thus, there are companies that are ever ready to walk down the risk highway and launch new products.

However, in order to ensure that the launch is actually profitable, there is a lot of planning that needs to put in. The launch is not just about placing the product in the market, but also announcing it in an alluring manner to the consumers. This entails not only appropriate advertising channels, but also events that crate further product awareness.

Gone is the time when hoardings and advertisements would do the magic. Today, companies have to think out of the box in order to create widespread product awareness. This is where product launch event management comes in. The event managers, in tandem with the company launching the product have several brainstorming sessions to decide on the varied events for the launch.

Nowadays the preferred ways of launching products is through interactive events. Some companies host events wherein they invite people who have won contests and competitions held by them. Or then they host an exclusive party for their select loyal customers in order to showcase their new range. This is something done by automobile companies amongst others.

Conference Event Management

With every passing year there is a lot of advancements beings made in every avenue of life. This is because of the research and development in every field and industry. And this calls for the need for constant upgrading of information and knowledge in order to keep oneself and staff abreast with all the latest developments. Keeping the importance of this in mind companies host conferences. These held and hosted at various levels.

There are the in-house conferences, which are hosted by the company, only for its staff. This is usually related to the new advancements that need to be incorporated in the company, in order to bring it up to the present time. Generally, experts from outside are invited to address the participants at the conference, taking the shape of a workshop.

Conference event management also includes those that are held at a global level. These have delegates from varied countries coming together and sharing the progresses and problems they face in their home country. Another term for conference is convention. Essentially, as mentioned earlier these are forum for sharing all aspects of the represented community in the working arena. 12

Business can achieve success only when it is promoted well in public. Trade fair and shows are means of promotion when you can put forward your brand and let public know more about it. This brings you in to recognition in market then show can be related to anything like food, clothing, automotive, textile, jewelry, gifts, etc. you can easily gain new customers by providing them with some good deals. In a trade fair and shows within limited budget you can organize best stuff for yourself with bigger space and proper arrangement. Good management can always take you to the desired height provided you are aware about the competition. Following are some of the things which can allow you to successfully organize trade fair and shows: Building quality team work Success can be handled by single person, but it comes only when there are efforts of different people. in order to welcome success by means of trade shows you need to carry out proper team work. Organizing such shows require you to understand the market scenario and making proper utilization of area for trade show. Allot work to people of different department and take proper follow up.

Managing staff Managing work allotted to staff members is not an easy task. You need to first make them understand the work they need to carry out and then examine the work done by them. See to it that internal conflicts between staff members if any do not affect the result of your work. Give instructions to them related to display of your product and see to it that they make proper arrangements. Also arrange proper food and beverages for staff members so that they can work properly.

Good networking Get in touch with different other members participating in the course of trade fair and shows. Understand their way of dealing such shows to achieve success. Build your networking skills in such shows in order to develop business. Also get in touch with previous year members and try to understand the negative and positive aspects of show. Sending proper invitation Invite your members, clients, relative by mailing them invitation card and also by messaging them. If required also send reminders so that date of show does

not get skipped from their mind. Send special invitation to important clients in order to fetch more business. Understanding competitors move If you have competitors in the same show displaying same products like you then keep a tab on their every move. You have to come out as successful person after the trade show and for this you need to beat the strategies adopted by business rival. You can enter market when you prove yourself different from others successfully and for this it is essential to make out the next move of competitors. Visiting different trade fair and shows There are many trade fairs and shows organized by different countries, if possible try to visit such shows and notice the way they display their product. Via internet you can get information about such shows. If you cant personally visit such shows then get information by online means. Plan strategies to enhance sales The aim of such shows is to enhance sales and this can be done by proper planning of trade fair and shows. Single person cannot bring success with trade shows and so it is essential to plan strategies with proper team work

Birthday Party Event

Birthday party event is different for people with different age groups. When you are planning party for elders you can find change in basic things like music, activities, food, decoration, etc. For the age group of above 50 the inviting songs would be those which relates to 60s and 70s. For the age group of above 20 songs would be absolutely rocking. Again the selection of music also depends on the theme of party. If the theme is retro, then everything from costume, decoration to music will get changed. Good decoration creates proper ambiance so never compromise on the overall look of birthday party.

Here are some of the things which you need to consider while carrying on with birthday party planning: Budget for party Depending on your budget of party, activities like gaming, food, etc. can be carried out. According to budget prepare the list of things to be done in the party and get the estimated cost. After getting estimate amount you can add things or deduct unnecessary expenses. Good food adds to the charm of party so whether you are arranging party for your child or for grandparents, see to it that delicious food is served.

Food to be served Menu of food depends on person for whom you are throwing party. Along with different eatables make arrangements for beverages as people of all age like to have cold drinks. In case you are arranging party for kid then make sure there 16

Party venue Party venue should be lively and the ambiance should make people to stay in party for long time. Choose the research design: Research design indicates the methods and procedure of conducting research study. Research design can be done in following three types:-

Data collection tools To conduct a survey of potential people, structured questionnaire has been selected as an instrument for gathering valuable information from the people. Questionnaire, which is used for the survey, is consisting of questions and checklist questions to check the people feedback. Here, the researcher has chosen the data collection tool is questionnaire.

Sampling plan The sampling plan that is designed keeping in mind four decisions. Sampling unit The researcher has selected all the people who live in area of City light road , Piplod , Adajan. Sampling types There are two types of sampling i.e. probability sampling and nonprobability sampling.

DATA ANALYSIS & INTERPRETATION After all above steps are completed now the important step is data analyzing and interpretation. For this there are various analytical and statistical tools. Some of tools are percentage, average, dispersion, corelation, co-efficient, etc. Tabulation, pie chart are used for the analysis of data. Graphical and tabulation method are used for analysis and interpretation.

PREPARE RESEARCH REPORT Once the data have been tabulated, interpreted and analyzed, the researcher has to prepare a report. The report consists of findings of the research studies and recommendations also. Report writing needs some skills, which can be develop with practice. The researcher should follow certain principles while writing a report. These principles include objectivity, clarity of ideas and use of charts and diagrams. A good research report should effectively communicate its research findings.

This survey results shows that 93% people know about event management, 7% people not aware about event management. It shows the awareness of people about event companies is high means 93% people know and have some knowledge about event management in the surat.

Analysis:
As an event management company we have a best opportunity to grow more because of people aware about event management and its means they have knowledge and they use in there day to day life. As event company can easily get good market because people understand what are uses of event management company. We can do effective marketing and get good market share.

Interpretation: The above graph shows that the economic level of the people who I meet and can get response from them is that 45% respondent have par annual income is 10 lac and above it means more people have some good amount of income whom I contact for the survey, 20% having income 6 lac to 10 lac, and 11 % have between 4 lac to 6 lac, 7% have 2lac to 4 lac , other 7% have in between 50,000 to 2 lac. And rests of the people means 10 % are having less than 50,000 incomes.

Analysis:
From this interpretation I come to know that most of the people who I contact they are having good amount of income than its show that event company can get some rich people to do event in their life because their income level is high. This study help to identify the who are the actual client for the event company . Every event company in the surat have good market base and also can get good amount of return by doing an event of rich people life their income level is high .

Interpretation:

Here we can see that who is our respondent and what kind of activates they are doing is like 63% of the people are doing business, 19% are attach with service sector,7% are labor who work in some industry or other company , 8% are employee of the different company or join with corporate world ,3 % are attach with profession like Advocate , Doctors etc.

Analysis:
On the above data as we come to know most of the people whom I contact is all are attach with their business , Here we can easily match that in 2nd qes. we have get 45% people have 10lac above income par annual and they are doing business means they need to do event and they not focusing on low budget they need good management team to do their event and as an event company we have lots of opportunity to get high amount of return by focusing on this people .

Interpretation: In this graph we can easily see that 76% facing problem in organize their event is like high cost other 13% not having that much time to do there event as well and 6% do not organize event well because some different reasons and rest of the other 5% people having other problem like not having good team , or not use all resources which are available in the market .

Analysis:
Here on the interpretation we can come to know that 76 % people facing problem of high cost to organize the event by their own .as an marketer can easily find the cost effective budget to do event and can also give a low budget event as possible as good. Event company have this types of contact which they do contract with them for their cost saving. And can Give a cost effective and better offer by using their contact . Event management company have opportunity to cover more market by using a low cost because people are facing this problem and company can give this solution and other problem are also solve by the company by using good management team in the company and educated event planner.

Interpretation: This graph shows that 12% people attend the event more than 7 in one year . Other 43% are attend 4 to 7 event in one year ,or 26% are attend 3 to 5 event or 18% are attend 1 to 3 event and other 1 % are not attend the event .

Analysis:
On this interpretation we can come to know that more people who I contact they are attend the event more than 5 in one year it show that the awareness of the event and uses of the event are high in the market means event company have good scope in futures . this also help to event management company in making their marketing or other promotion activities .As an event management company we have to do a mass promotion and need to do effective marketing of the general event like DJ party or other mall multiplex activation etc.

Interpretation: This chart clearly indicates that the 43%people organize their event by taking a help of elders, 23% are organize the event on their own, and 20% are giving the contract to some other party or other 14% people are other who organize the event by using other party of giving contract etc.

Analysis:
Here we can conclude that most of the people who give response me than I find that many people are organize the event by their own . this many people think that event management company are more costly and if they are use their own people to organize the event than its lowering down the cost and gating good result but some of the people in the surat give contract to the other party for their event and also many people are like 43% people are doing event by taking help of elders. As an event management company we get more benefit of those people who are given contract to other party we have to focus on this people and get more customer base . it help to event company in define their target market .

Analysis:
Here we find that most of the people who I contact is not satisfied with that budget they are spend to organize the event and its good for the event company in sense of that event company can give a good satisfaction to the their client by giving a best offer and good quality in the services . As an event company we translate this many people in our customer by offering a what they want we can give easily and this people are more in the surat area and we have good market share in this area . with the help of our satisfied customer we can cover more market by their good reference.

Here we can see that 49% people define event as lowering down the cost with uses of all available resources and they do not have enough time to manage event. Other 29% people face the time problem and 21% people define as uses all the available resources or 1% define as lowering down the cost .

FINDINGS: This survey results shows that 93% people Know about event management , 45% respondent have par annual income is more than 10lac.

63% of the people are doing business 76% facing problem in organize their event is high cost. 43% are attend 5- 7 in one year. 43% people organize their event by taking a help of elders. 67% people thinks that they are not satisfied in they spend money to organize the event.

93% people believe in this concept of event management.

CONCLUSION:

Though price is high but the customers are ready to pay for good event management because most of the people are business persons. Most of the people want to do wedding event or birth day event in future. The service offered by the event company is most cost effective.

Recommendation
Event management Company must focus in cost and customer satisfaction. Company required some promotion of their services than more people can know about event management. People want good management team for their event company has to manage good event planner ,Coordinator, and event manager. Event Company has to manage their event by motive of lowering down cost and increases customer satisfaction. People not have time than company has to provide good services at a perfect time with no mistake. Event Management Company no need to do advertisement based on awareness because most of the people aware about the event company.

Limitations
Certain limitations do creep in a research study due to constraints of the time, money and human efforts, the present study is also not free from certain limitation, which were unavoidable.
