1.5 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research is a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic. In fact, research is an art of scientific investigation. In short, the search for knowledge through objectives and systematic method of finding solution to a problem is research. Research Methodology :- A system of model, procedure and techniques used to find the result of a research problem is called research methodology

Formulation of research design:Research design

A plan outlining how information is to be gathered for an assessment or evaluation that includes identifying the data gathering method(s), the instruments to be used/created, how the instruments will be administered, and how the information will be organized and analysed. The different types of research design are: Exploratory research: It is design to generate basic knowledge, clarify the relevant issue and define the alternatives for addressing the research objectives. Descriptive research:It is used for profiling, defining, estimating, predicting and examine associative relationship. Causal research:It is done to analyze cause and effect relationship. Research Design Selection The researcher has selected the exploratory and descriptive research design in order to conduct the in-depth study of ____________- at _________.

Sampling Design A sample design is a definite plan determined before any data are actually collected for obtaining a sample from a given population. Population Population refers to the total of items about which information is desired. The population can be finite or infinite. Population is said to be finite if it consist of a fixed number of elements so that it is possible to enumerate it in its totality where as an infinite population is that population in which it is theoretically impossible to observe all the elements. Sampling: Sampling is the art and science of controlling and measuring the reliability of useful statistical information through the theory of probability. Sample size: Researcher has decided to take sample size of _____ respondents. Sampling Method: _________

DATA COLLECTION
There are various ways to collect the data. The data can be collected through observation, questionnaire etc. In each method there are multiple questions. Researcher collects the data through questionnaire which consists of ____ questions for the self-assessment method Multiple - Choice Question. Grading Scale Method.

University of Pune SELECTION OF SOURCES OF DATA There are two types of data used in research: SECONDARY DATA: The secondary data are those which have already been collected by someone else and which have already been passed through the statistical process. The methodology applied for collection of data was both primary and secondary data. This research study is basically based on Primary Data PRIMARY DATA: The Primary data are those which are collected afresh and for the first time, and thus happen to be original in character. SECONDARY DATA COLLECTION The project is mainly related to the study of ___________. The data is regarding the training activities carried on in ____________ is collected from __________________ In the current research, Internet sites suggested by the organization were used. PRIMARY DATA COLLECTION Write sources of data collection

ANALYSIS OF DATA
Analysis of data involves a number of closely related operations which are performed with the purpose of summarizing of collected data and organizing these in such a manner that they answer the research questions. After collection of data, researcher analyzes the data. The researcher analyzes the collected data by using various statistical measures like pie chart, bar diagrams etc.

PREPARATION OF REPORT
Finally, the researcher has to prepare the report of what has been done by her. The layout of the report is as follows: i. The Preliminary Page: It carries title and date followed by acknowledgement and there should be table of contents followed by a list of tables and list of graphs and charts. ii. The Main Text : The report should have following parts: a) Introduction b) Summary of findings c) Main report d) Conclusion iii. The End Matter: It includes bibliography and webliography i.e. lists of books, journal etc.

1.6 LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

1. Time Limit: 2. Response: The respondents were the industrial users so they were busy and not much accurate response was acquired. 3. Interest: Most of the respondents were not interested much in answering the questions. 4. Sample size: The sample size was confined only to __ respondents. 5. Area: The study is restricted only to _____. 6. Accuracy: Data collected may not be 100% accurate.
