Sir: This is to respectfully submit our project proposal on the PROPOSE COFFEE HOUSE to be constructed along Rizal St. Zamboanga City, adjacent to Fort Pilar and the Zamboanga City National Museum. This project proposal has the total cost of PhP 11,213,774.00 and duration of 8 months.

I. Proposal Proper

A. Rationale A coffee shop is an establishment which primarily serves prepared coffee or other hot beverages. It shares some of the same characteristics of a bar or restaurant, but it is different from a cafeteria. As the name suggests, coffeehouses focus on providing coffee and tea as well as light snacks. From a cultural standpoint, coffeehouses largely serve as centers of social interaction: the coffeehouse provides social members with a place to congregate, talk, write, read, entertain one another, or pass the time, whether individually or in small groups of two or three people. A coffeehouse serves as an informal club for its regular members. And as the proposed coffee house would be situated in Zamboanga City, a place known for its rich history and culture, the proponents would like to make the establishment a place stuffed with historical memorabilia and antiques. So aside from culinary services, the proposed coffeehouse will also have a mini souvenir store to be able to attract more customers locally and tourists alike.

B. Project Description The proposed project would benefit both local and foreign tourists who are searching for a place to eat, relax and experience the classic Chavacano ambiance without sacrificing the modernity and style of this generation. The over-all motif of the establishment will be modern Spanish and will be located along Rizal St. Zamboanga City, adjacent to Fort Pilar and the Zamboanga City National Museum, two of the citys famous landmarks. The implementation of the project will begin immediately after the release of the budget cost and expected to be completed after the duration of ___ calendar days. The implementation of the project will be carried out based on a carefully-formulated schedule of activities to be discussed in the latter part of this proposal paper.

C. Objectives The objective of this project is to be able to provide an area to people looking for a place to eat and feel comfortable and at the same time, be able to appreciate the

beauty of Zamboanga City, which is dubbed as the Asias Latin City due to the heavy influence of the Spanish culture. The proponents would like to apply a modern Spanishinspired structural design on the exterior and the interior of the building to complement the supposed theme of the establishment. The proposed project also aims to accomplish social responsibilities and environmental profit.

D. Significance The completion of this project will provide a convenient space for people to spend their free time relaxing and interact freely while being in a place that gives people information of the citys rich culture and heritage. The continuous growth of Zamboanga City in terms of tourist attractions including the proposed coffeehouse would attract visitors from other places that will contribute to the tourism of the Zamboanga City. While the establishment is in need of man power, employing local citizens to serve the coffeehouse shall contribute to the decrease of the c itys unemployment rate while returning the profit to the owner of the business.
