Entry Deadline: Saturday June 27, 2009. Please have entry in by Saturday
June 27. Late entries can only be accepted as space and time permit.

Time: Classes Weigh-in Competition start

Women (all) 8:00-9:00am 10:00am
Men 56 – 85 kg 9:30-10:30am 11:30
Men 94-105+ noon -1pm 2:00pm
(Depending on # of entries, Men’s 85 kg’s may be moved to next session)

Divisions: Men’s – Open, LWC, Master (35+), Junior (20 and under)
Women – Open, LWC, Master (35+) Junior (20 and under)
One piece lifting singlet or athletic shorts and top required.
‘Age’ is age on Dec 31, 2009.

Lifts Contested: Two Hands Snatch, Two Hands Clean and Jerk
Eligibility: Registered USAW athletes. Membership card required at weigh in.
www.usaweightlifting.org to join or update your membership beforehand. You
cannot lift without updated membership card with you at weighin, no
exceptions.

Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place medal for each weight class in
Men’s/ Women’s Open + Best Lifter in each
LWC Men’s/ Women’s Open + Best Lifter in each.
Master’s – 10 Men, 6 Women by Age/Sinclair Formulas.
Junior – 10 Men, 6 Women by Age/Sinclair Formulas.

Request and Release
I, the undersigned, hereby request permission to enter the premises of the Westerly-Pawcatuck YMCA in
Westerly RI to participate in the Ocean State Classic and NELWC Olympic Weightlifting Championships
to be held there Saturday July 11, 2009. I understand the risks and dangers of said activities and that
unexpected and unanticipated dangers may arise during said activities and I assume all risks of injury to
my person and property that may be sustained in connection with stated and associated activities in and
about the premises and in traveling to and from the dais premises and activities.
In consideration of the permission granted to me to enter the premises and participate in the stated
activities, I do hereby, for myself, my heirs, administrators assign, release, remise and discharge the New
England Weightlifting Committee of the USAW and the individual members thereof, the Westerly-
Pawcatuck YMCA and its members, officers, and employees, and sponsors, and sanctioners of said
premises, from any and all liability or damage arising out of the activities in said premises and
participation in the stated activities regardless of who is at fault or negligence of the New England
Weightlifting Committee of the USAW and the individual members thereof, or any of the parties
mentioned herein as being released. I represent and certify that my true date of birth is listed on this form.
I further agree that I have reviewed, understand, and agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the
competition.
