Canrigs exclusive folding Torque Guide enables the safest and fastest rig up and rig down in the industry. The complete system, which folds into a single, transportable, oilfield skid, includes the torque guide, the top drive unit and all services. In addition: The torque guide is installed vertically after mast erection. A single-point disconnect allows for all electrical and hydraulic services to stay with the unit during rig moves. All bolting and flanges are eliminated. Minimal rig interface; no torque is reacted through mast. Canrigs portable top drive systems provide flexibility for multi-rig applications. Exclusive folding torque guide for fastest, safest rig up. Independent VFD house that can easily be connected to the rig power source. Optional engine-generator systems for mechanical or underpowered rigs. Land configuration skid with TDSU houses grasshopper cable tray and spare parts storage. Complete system ships in two self contained loads.

Integrated Systems
Integrated or stand alone VFD. All electric and hydraulic controls can be fully integrated into rigs master control system. Torque can be reacted through mast legs eliminating need for torque guide. TD can be permanently fixed into the mast eliminating the need for removal during transport. Multiple console options.

Offshore
Fixed TG sized with mast or wide flange track. High adaptability to a variety of torque tracks. Retract feature for dual activity rigs. Work platforms for easy, safe access to the top drive. Corrosion resistant coatings and sub assemblies. Load capabilities to 750 ton. ABS and ATEX certification.

Two different versions of the system are available, TAC I for rigs without top drives and TAC II for rigs with top drives.

Equipment Condition Monitoring (ECM) of drilling rig equipment in real time is not only possible but proven to be effective. Enhanced Well Control

The Canrig Lower Well Control Valve (LWCV) actuator is a significant upgrade in reliability and functionality from any similar device. Designed as a replacement for existing actuators, it is field retrofittable to lower well control valves in use today. The dual rack and pinion open / close mechanism is not effected when operation is attempted while the pipe is rotating. The LWCV actuator is capable of functioning valves in either direction against 2,500 PSI differential pressure. With over 400 actuators in use we know this technology significantly improves reliability, enhances well control and lowers operating costs.

Advanced Diagnostic System

The Advanced Diagnostics System (ADS) monitors strategic points of the top drive unit and its associated control and power system, making intelligent assessments of malfunctions and reporting possible causes. Such messages may include on-line help text for quick access to operating and troubleshooting instructions; failure of power or control cables; presence of defective components; and parameters out of adjustment, with anticipated errors or deviations of expected results. The ADS communicates with the operator via a color monitor with touch sensitive screen to respond to messages. This Operator Interface Terminal also allows inputting correction factors and shut-down of non-essential functions in case of equipment failure.

TDSU-Grasshopper
The TDSU-Grasshopper enables fast and orderly rig up of the cables and hoses that are required to run from the TDSU to the rig floor. This is accomplished through the use of a hydraulically powered telescoping post combined with a series of articulating cable trays. The TDSU-Grasshopper is suitable for all land rig applications. It provides excellent protection of the cables and hoses during transport, rig up and operation.

Traveling Equipment Anti-Collision System

Traveling equipment can sometimes accidentally come into contact with other parts of the rig, usually the crown, the floor or the racking board. When such contact occurs, the results can be injury to personnel and/or damage to equipment.
